Flames arent messing around it seems...this is typical of a team under Burke. Constant tweaking until he gets the pieces he wants. While Im sure Feaster has a lot to do with it too, dont fool yourself thinking that Burke isnt directly involved with all of these moves. Sounds like there could be more coming, as well.

I'm sure Burke is very involved. They didn't bring him in to have him sit in the corner.

I like the way the organization seems to be operating by more of a committee rather than just having one guy calling the shots. Helps to avoid Sutter-like debacles... (Phaneuf trade, *cough, cough*)

No, theyll be keeping Ranger as hes still one of their best 5-5 defenseman despite some poor play at times. His numbers, overall, are quite good given the amount of minutes hes playing. Its Rielly that makes Gardiner expendable. Fraser is likely back tomorrow and that means Rielly will need to sit. So my guess is that Gardiner is moved within a week or so.
