I saw the same game you did! Thats good cause alot of people thought it was a close one.

Peters played really well.... What happens when Anton comes back? We keep 3 goalies? We risk putting Peters on Waivers? We find a trade partner? Not long ago Cane fans had ZERO confidence in Peters.... 7-8 games of him looking sharp has them all riled up. I doubt he has any trade value.. and would think that a waiver claim is not probable, but is possible. Thoughts?

Love what our 4th line is bringing right now. When is the last time a Canes fan could say that!?

Peters has sure taken this opportunity to keep his nhl dream alive. The Canes could not have asked for better results from Justin. On last nights game I thought that 5 on 3 pp disaster was perhaps the worst 5 on 3 pp I have ever witnessed, I mean with passing the puck directly to the opposition and the Canes just looked scared to handle the puck. That was brutal. Glad to see Skinner back. One observation I have is that is appears that this lineup is made up of a bunch of high risk injury players and that is not good. Think about these names and their history, Pitkanen, Ruutuu, Skinner, Semin, Gleason and to a lesser extent Ward. Pretty hard to be a good hockey team with these guys alternating between sick bay and ice time.

Worst 5 on 3 I have ever witnessed. There was one stretch where they turned the puck over at the blue line what 3-4 times in a row? Why not chip the puck behind the 3 guys standing on the blue line and go get it by out numbering them? Lazy play if you ask me. It was the Canes chance to step on the throats of their opponents in their building and it didn't happen. Peters was awesome on the Redwings 5 on 3 and was one lucky bounce from killing it off.
