The Flyers will try to jump on the Sabres early tonight. First periods have been Philly's best game segment and Buffalo's worst thus far this season. The Flyers have outscored opponents by an 18-10 margin in first periods, while the Sabres have been outscored by a whopping 31-4.

If they jump on the Sabers early, I think they'll be alright. Would be nice to see G have a big game and get the confidence going before they head on the road for several games.

Very important week for the Flyers. Also far we've had a really good start. We can't get over confident though. The moment we think a win is a given, it bites us. Go out, continue to play our game and walk away with two points.

Did you see how proficient the Flyers have become at tossing the puck over the glass? 3 Delay of Game penalties the other night.

The one on Giroux was a pretty stupid call. He swatted a bouncing puck and it sliced out of play.

I mentioned this yesterday, and as much as I know Farley would be awesome as Rob Ford, I'm convinced that John Goodman can do that role and maybe even Jack Black.

If some aspiring screen writer doesn't put a Rob Ford script together by the end of the year, I'll be sorely disappointed.

Marc-Andre Fleury threw one over the glass in the early going of the Pens/Caps game last night but the refs didn't call it, even though everyone else did. Must be a great to be a penguin these days.
