That line of Seguin, Benn & Nish could potentially be a top 3 line in the league this year.

For Oiler fans, the truth hurts....there's no way they can sustain a 0.670 winning percentage for the remainder of the year. If anyone can feel their pain, it would be Toronto Maple Leaf fans. They've suffered through years of failure, but finally it looks like they're coming out of it....there's hope!

And what sucks even more is there was a rumoured deal on the table for Seguin to the Flames but the Flames didn't want the contract.

I heard the price was our 1st(Monahan) & Gaudreau. I guess when you sell off your core & declare the start of a rebuild, that would have been a tough trade to make. I'm Ok to see what Gaudreau & Monahan become. Now had we traded Iggy for Seguin 3 years ago...well....

Colin, this team is now showing what everyone said we would be, a starless team that will be in the bottom 5 of the league. Not only the Oilers playoff hopes are done by Nov 15th but you could put the Flames, Sabres & Panthers on that list. By mid December or in about 15 games, we should begin our selloff of UFA veterans, lend Monahan to team Canada Jr. team, call up Reinhart, Knight Hanokowski(sp?) & start to play the young guys. We knew this was coming, right?

I heard the price was our 1st(Monahan) & Gaudreau. I guess when you sell off your core & declare the start of a rebuild, that would have been a tough trade to make. I'm Ok to see what Gaudreau & Monahan become. Now had we traded Iggy for Seguin 3 years ago...well....

When you draft at 7 (it was 7th, right?) you hope you can get a player like Seguin. I would have done that deal without a second thought.

Seguin was never going to be as good in Boston as he would be elsewhere. Simply too much depth in Boston for him to be a key player.

Disagree. You trade Krecji before you trade Seguin imo. Krecji is 26 and Seguin is 21.

I love that line. Nich is really turning it up the past 5 or so games. Using his body to make space and plays for his line mates. The best part is we have out 1st line set, now we just wait for Ritchie and Faksa to fill out the 2nd with Chaisson. Tons of size and strength to go with the skill on those first two lines.

The last game against Dallas wasn't that bad. Dubnyk played real well and our offense was getting chances, but either got stopped by the post or a hot goalie.

This is true last night at the start of the game I found myself cheering for them not to let in a goal in the first couple minutes and was hoping they could get out of the 1st period only down 1 or 2 goals. This is going to be a hard team to watch this year.

Hope for Cammi, Stajan ect.. to have great personal results so they can bring big prizes come draft day
