Its not being in a place where the media doesnt care. It's somewhere where the media arent head hunters. The Flyers beat writers all have it in for the team and will take any and every chance to make a mountain out of a molehill, especially if you are a highly paid player. I've never in my life seen a pro athlete treated worse from a media standpoint than how Bryz was treated in Philly. Radio hosts would ask him leading questions and be laughing at him while he responds the go ahead and try to get him to quote Borat. I tweeted said radiohost in the middle of this and asked if he would ask Ryan Howard to quote Roots and he went ballistic on air trying to justify it based off how much Bryz makes. This guy gets the most airtime of any sports guy in Philly.

Bryz just needs to be in a place with sound defense, which is why I have zero clue why EDM went after him unless theyre cooking up something else.

I was listening to a couple radio shows earlier this week and a common theme was the goaltending issue. I hear a discussion with Ryan Rishaug from TSN about the goaltending options for Edmonton and obviously Bryzgalov's name came up. He said that Bryz is not a good player to have in the locker room. Rishaug, through all of his experience with interviews, locker rooms, and whatever else all across the NHL, he didnt' have many good things to say about the character of Bryz. Then they signed him the next day...

I can seem his attitude to be an issue with Edmonton. Yes, he could be an upgrade and work out well, but with the way Edmonton is struggling, especially defensively, Bryz's attitude might get him in trouble, especially with Eakins.

I'm not doubting that the Philly media was able to play mind games with Bryz, but has any player or coach confirmed that his attitude caused locker room issues? Not defending him, just wondering...

Understanding Bryz's theatrics is what got him in trouble in Philly and could have potentially lost him millions of dollars, I'm sure we'll see a toned down Bryz when on camera.

This one is on MacT who said he's been talking to Bryz for some time now. The Oilers are vulnerable right now and to introduce a wildcard into the room is dangerous. If it works out, then this is a start.
