in other words, who knows?????

Paul, you need to take off the Gold Colored Specs man. Hutton has been barely serviceable. Thank God the boys are shooting and scoring cause they arent getting much goaltending. You give Hutton a fake of any significance and you have an open netter.

Why didn't Weber take out the the skater w/ the puck last night both times? instead of body sliding. He could have at least gotten in a good hit. Webs was a -3 at one point in the game, not good for the 1st D pair. I know the Avs top 3 are silly fast but Jones & Weber looked rough last night.

Stallberg & Wilson are meant to play wide open up tempo!

BT's celly after the EN was a huge sigh of relief! I think Hutton keeps him up at night. Granted Carter stepped up & made a couple clutch saves in the 3rd but the game shouldn't have been as close as it was.

Best forecheck & backcheck I seen in a long time.

I guess that's why he passed it around Weber's feet?

Didn't say it worked...lol.

Weber did what he should have...the player just made a play...it happens.

You're probably right. It just seems a poke check or such could have slowed the rush more but in the moment you just have to react.

Paul, I had a feeling when we signed Carter Hutton that it would be a work in progress. I feel since he took the #1 spot from Rinne because of his injury that it was promising that we would be ok after the first game in which i thought he did play his best in. Since then look at all the games he has played. While there is some blame on D for some of the goals but the majority wouldn't have gone in if we had a more experienced player backing up Rinne. Blues game let in 5 goals. I thought at least 3 of them were stoppable. Phoenix we blown a 3 goal lead to lose however gaining a point but it shouldn't have got been that way. LA almost the same thing except David Legwand bailed him out. Colorado game we almost let Colorado do the same except Wilson came to the rescue. Trotz at the end of the game smiled after the empty net because yes we beat the 12-1 team in the league but he isn't confident in the ability of Hutton.

We have to get better in D, but more importantly in net. On average the Preds don't put up big scoring numbers to make up for the goals being scored on Hutton. "Goals For" for the year per game played is 2.46 Goals against is 2.93. The games since Hutton stepped in are 3.6 GA in the 5 games(not including the one that got by Hellberg) Goals for was 3.6 the past 5 games. Preds would have to average at least 4 goals a game to remedy that.

People may be thinking i think the sky is falling...No i don't think that. I think if we had a more experienced goalie that is currently available then we should take that route to ease the next month or so.

Bryzgalov is one of the only players i know that is out there that could fit this role.

If you are going to take the pass away, you are going to take on the guy w/ the puck so he can't pass or the trailer so he doesn`t receive the pass. All Weber did was screen Hutton, deke, saucer, twine x 2!

You take the passing lane/other player. The puck carrier is the goalies responsibility. You can't have both the defender and goalie taking the same player or all others are uncovered. Weber played it right.... just poor execution.

Seeing someone expert in rebound control and pushing pretty much anything not centerline to the corners makes a huge difference in both the D and comfort. Hutton is coughing up some very juicy rebounds. Other teams will be all over that in a slower paced, "Predator Way (tm)" game.

If this team chases after Miller, I want Poile's head on a stick. This team is NOT a contender and only has hopes of making the playoffs. You do not trade a ton of assets for a rental goalie that might get you to the 1st round of the playoffs.

Stay away from Miller.
