So did Almqvist have a good game? I read the blog, but I want to hear what wings fans think. Followed him for a few years now. Well, since he was drafted (I drafted him in my sim league hehe).

It wasn't a bad showing he already looked like a bottom pairing d-man who could play on pp

To be honest, I find the Jets fans booing an opposition player every game rather lame. In many cases they just choose to boo the best player on the opposition. Not sure I really get it.

The Hawk/Jets game turned after the fans heckled Crawford as he lay down hurt on the ice. It seemed to piss the Hawk players off and the game went from a 1-1 snooze fest to a 5-1 beat down after that play.

I thought he played a very strong game for his first in the NHL. Definitely needs to put on a few pounds, as he got out muscled in the corners a few times, but watching him with the puck definitely made me see where the Karlsson comparisons come from. He's definitely not on that level, especially in his skating, but he has similar patience and poise with the puck. With the young depth, he should be able to be brought along slowly, in true DRW fashion and turn into a solid 2 way guy for the wings.

Tootoo has cleared waivers. As of now... he is not going to report to Grand Rapids. I'd rather keep Tootoo and get rid of Cleary. This glut of overpaid forwards is a mess that Holland could have avoided if he hadn't signed Cleary at the last minute and given Samuelsson that ridiculous contract.

NOW BRING UP NYQUIST !!
