Goaltenders are a little different because there can only be 1 starter on a team.

Was Dwight King in the ECHL because he was unheralded or because there were 30 year old NHL players standing in his way?

It's not necessarily a bad thing. I have heard both players are struggling in the AHL, maybe going to an inferior league for a bit will help to bolster their confidence and make them hungrier for success. Good players respond well to adversity... we just have to wait and see.
