gudas call was brutal..even if he slams his stick on the boards for no reason at all it still isn't worth a game misconduct or a 10 minute, 2 min unsportsmanlike would be appropriate...but he had a reason, that's just bullpoop

lindback was good tonight, made some real nice saves and kept us in there in the shootout on 2 really good moves by barkov and huberdeau

im just gona go and look at the standings on NHL.com for the next hour now, soak it all in

It's early in the season, but I think the Atlantic is going to be a lot closer than many predicted.

Agreed. I said early on that I believe six of the eight teams have the ability to win games and be competitive. That's what we've seen so far.

I'm still not totally sold on the Leafs. I have a hard time believing that what they're doing is sustainable. It's an adventure on many nights.

I think that Leaf fans tend to stay away from here. Sunbelt hockey fans. It's like we're lesser beings or something...

True, but they seem to be getting contributions from many different players. My big question mark for the Leafs comes down to Bernier and Reimer. They either look really good, or really bad.

It seems as though Ottawa is taking an early hit and need to right the ship otherwise the top teams in the division will continue to add separation, the injuries in Montreal aren't helping them either.

I got to admit, Tampa has been a pleasant surprise thus far. Playing some solid hockey and finding ways to grind out wins. Still can't beat my Bruins though

I really dont mind the hardcore ones cause they are usually full of good knowledge but the ones you get on FB are the type that have no idea about anything else going on in the league other then the Leafs. Those ones always seem to be the loudest to

Absolutely agree. There are great fans in all markets. The key is making sure that the good fans are the ones you associate with

I usually would but the Devils havent had the greatest start. Most people havent been paying attention and think they are just poop but they have dominated teams, carried play, outshot them and so and havent been getting blown out we have 4 o,t losses so we arent as bad as our record says but I dont like explaining that to every fan of other teams because they usually dont care and its a waste of my typing lol. So I just hear about how poop the Devils are and you know the media. They pick and choose how to word things and lately have been making them seem horrible so people think that.

The league better void out the game misconduct against Radko, I don't know how many they are allowed before the get suspended for a game but that call was atrocious.

Loving the effort they put in down to 5 defenseman on a back to back. Understandable they would get tired but they still made the second goal real hard to score and Palat being young coughed it up for the third. Lindy played well, I really wish we would see Stamkos on the shootout more often.

Go Bolts.... Resiliency is the name of the game.

Devils had the same problem last year , it's like almost every time I saw their game outcome it was OT lol ... Turn those tight 1 goal games the other way and devils have a decent start to the season , turn them the other way last year and they had playoffs , but they have to find ways to win them ... It's not like they lack good forwards or defense or goalies , hopefully it all comes together

You're bang on Stuart.

The Leafs keep ending up being the recipients of great puck luck. This can not be sustained. I won't buy this (frank)ed up getting outshot game plan until the season is half over.

After 40 games, if the Leafs are still solid, then it is a different story...

Last year and this year we are seeing the stubborness of Pete Deboer. Last year when Marty missed 10 straight games he refused to play the call up goalie for any of them and ultimately Hedberg couldnt handle the load. This year they cut Gelinas for old vets who quite frankly suck. Gelinas and Larsson where hand down our best pair during preseason. Salvador just had a death in his family so Gelinas and Larsson where paired together the last two games ( we lose in a shoot out and beat the bruins ) and Gelinas has a goal and an assist and has they where our best pair for those 2 games now Gelinas just got sent back down and word is Lou is looking to move a D to make room for him. The guys is in love with Peter Harrold who is at best a 7th defense man who can play the wing the odd time but Lou wont waive him. Its frustrating
