-As expressed, although Hartley has given the nod to Joey MacDonald for tonight’s game during his interview yesterday, I wonder if he reconsiders given how Ramo played last night. Even though these guys are professionals, you have to wonder how sitting after a strong performance must feel. While not likely to happen, I would like to see Hartley give the nod to Ramo tonight until he starts to falter – play the hot hand, it works!

Monahan is turning out to be an insane pick. Does he stay up, or sent back?

Haha I was laughing when I read that!! That's some good old fashioned non-biased journalism right there!!

(Seriously though I do kind of agree with him, but Ramo is probably pretty bagged after last night)

He bloody better stay. The Flames would be the laughing stock of the league if they sent him down at this point. He's arguably our best forward (along with Hudler) right now.

...so what if Im a little biased for once. DEAL WITH IT.

...but I am serious. Ramo deserves another start after his play last night. Just a thought.

Monahan has done for the pp what rnh did when he joined the oil. The pp is clicking extremely well. Its great for his confidence but you can still see they are letting him have easy minutes and he's not even technically playing center. But if it works keep doing it.

As for Ramo....played much better last night but Colin, if they were going with the hot hand so to speak....Joey Mac would still be going....

Again, no love for Joey Mac..

Not really sure what he has to do to get some respect, he is like the Dangerfield of tending.

Knock it off. He played over 20 minutes as a 19 old. Whatever makes you feel better I guess.

What are you talking about? They went with Joey until he lost. They should do the same with Ramo...

Monahan should only stay if they believe they have a real chance to make the playoffs this year. No sense burning a year off of is ELC if they don't. He's obviously playing well enough to stay, but that's not looking at the big picture.

Pittsburgh is keeping Maatta but I guarantee they wouldn't be if they didn't think they had a shot at winning this year.

Monahan has been fantastic but in Calgary's situation I don't think the decision is as easy as it seems on the surface. I hope he does stay though because he's fun to watch and hopefully if he scores a couple more really nice goals Rob Kerr will have a stroke.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Money is of no concern so who cares about the ELC. And what is a 4th year in Ottawa going to do for Monahan at this point?

Sorry but I completely disagree. The decision should be made solely on what is best for the players development.

Same goes for Maatta in Pittsburgh too....would you really want to hurt his development cause the Pens want to make a run for it??? If that's the ONLY reason, can't they find some help on the back end somewhere else?

You have a point, it's not like they're tight against the cap. Ok you changed my mind.

But i would still like something to happen to Kerr.
