Lots of Key injuries to the bunch. But they still are playing below standards.

Lots of injuries? It's Hartnell has missed like 2 games and Vinny 2 games. Been very healthy so far, in my opinion.

They just suck.

Injuries are not the excuse. Our best players can't score. Simple..That is the issue. Before the season, I said this team will score, can we defend and how will the tenders do?

If another casual fan asks me when we are getting a goalie, I will lose it lol.. Mason's been solid but he can't score.. (maybe we need Smith)..

I took Giroux with my first pick in my pool. He's on the trading block

G has some issues this year. First, I had thought it was just mental, but now that I think about it, it might be physical as well.
When asked about how the team was playing, he had sounded like he felt sorry for himself. Thus, the mental aspect of my reasoning. If he lacks confidence, a good player will find a way out of that rut. Maybe wearing the C is too much for him?
Then, I remember how G had undergone wrist surgery (both wrists) a couple of summers ago after the Devils eliminated the Flyers. G kept complaining that Cindy, and Malkin kept slashing him. Add in that he hurt his hand playing golf during the off season, and his wrists maybe still bothering him.
Finally, they keep moving his line mates around. If you keep changing his line, he can't get into a groove. Thus, find a line to stick with, and let him work it out. Maybe we should bring back Gags to fill the spot that Jagr vacated a while back. I don't know what the fix should be exactly, but all these reasons should be taken into account when looking at G. He still is a great player, but you have to put him in a position to feel confident, and to play well. Otherwise, he is just one man on a team of many.

I third this... Although I was lucky enough to draft early enough to get Crosby first then Giroux second. I thought I was set but G has been a thorn in my teams side I keep hoping it has to change soon...

I have no idea if this is true or not, but a friend of mine says he had some people over his house a week ago, one of them being an employee of the Flyers as a trainer of some sort. Anyway, they were talking hockey and after a few drinks the guy started hinting at issues with Giroux being off ice. He wouldn't elaborate, but the guy said G came into came out of shape & the Flyers were not, and are not happy about it. When pushed for more info, the guy simply said "he's having the same issues Carter & Richards were having".

Again, both my friend and I said to take it for what it was worth. A guy who may have had a few too many, and may have just been speculating. But he did work for the Flyers in some sort of a trainer capacity.

Do I believe it? I don't know. Been there, heard that so many times over the years regarding "inside info" and players partying too much. I certainly hope it's not the case, but give a single 20-something kid millions of dollars and a big city to spend it in, and I can see how.

Just hope it's not true.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Giroux pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
