Nice write up. I think the Flames are in tough tonight though. I just hope the Monahan, Baertschi, Hudler line keep producing. Very fun to watch.

Yea you're right. I felt like I was burying them with all the negative stuff even though they have been alright thus far but I do think it is going to be a tough match up.

Yeah it's going to be a long year for sure. But I'm just loving the energy they play with now. Losing guys like Iggy, Kipper and JBO sucked but I think it may of been a blessing in disguise.

I guess Frattin is the new Gagne. Good skill but no room.

Yea not sure at this point if it will be Ramo or MacDonald tonight. Either way though. Not sure why they opted to not sign Leland Irving this offseason. Can't see how it would be any worse than the tandem they have back there now.

Very much the necessary stages of rebuild. Have to part with some popular and talented pieces to make way for the new wave. I'm super impressed with Monahan already..and they have guys like Max Reinhart, Johnny Gaudreau, and Patty Sieloff who have a ton of potential. I feel like Sieloff is super underrated, and is going to be a good second pairing shutdown guy for the Flames for a while.

I have an ulterior motive....If Ramo doesn't get the next 3 consecutive starts I win a little wager with Dambrauskas....

Implement the Dean Lombardi plan for building an NHL tam and you guys will be back in the thick of it in about 5 years.

I dont think its a no room issue. Hes got to perform and score goals to. He cant just look good but not outperform the other guys. I liked him with Cliff and Lewis. But that line didnt score at all. I like him with Richards and Carter. But he didnt make things happen. But a lugnut like CarBomb is making things happen. Drawing penaltys and chipping in. He'll learn. We havent seen the last of him.

Carcillo has been a very pleasant surprise. Adds some fire to the team, sticking up for his teammates, and stirring up the opposing players causing them to take dumb penalties. So far, he has been a great acquisition.

I agree. Alot of people dont like him. But I like what he brings. He brings a true agitator to the team. He can do what they been wanting Clifford to do. I think Clifford has more to give in the scoring department. Its just getting it to click for him.

I still like Cliff Lewis Frattin line. So much speed and potential there. Id like to see it get more time together.

Watching Carcillo yell "Lets go again!!" at Rousell in the penalty box was classic. He definitely was an upgrade over Penner.

Would of been nice though to see Carcillo have a better fight with Rousell.

I'm super excited for the new division because of the history of the Smythe division battles. Some of the games against the Flames are a few of my earliest Kings memories, amazing atmosphere in those games. Hope the new division layout brings some of that feeling back.

We were at the game and what you didn't see on TV was Rousell take the penalty, then try to pick a fight with Carter, then try to pick a fight with Richards, then Carcillo stepping in and taking care of Rousell.

Coule the Kings take anymore penaltys. That hook on Kopi is terrible. He should know better.

I'm expecting a very nasty game against Phoenix. Kings will be angry and there isn't a nice history there. First meeting of the season.

Yeah. That should be a good one. But the Kings seriously need to watch the penaltys.

I really liked when we had Carcillo-Stoll-Frattin together.

We just need a 2nd line left winger. I just don't see what Sutter and Lombardi see in King.

Wideman with not one, but TWO dives that got the calls... This is a perfect example of the types of after-the-fact diving calls the league should make, fining a player for playing to the refs looking to get calls. I can live with the hook Kopi took (not that he took it but that it was a legit call to be made) but the phantom high-stick??? After Brown was legitimately high-sticked by callamari with no call whatsoever. Or Greene taking a stick to the neck/face from Monahan after a save with no accompanying call. Not that the Kings would've scored on those two power plays opps, and not that it's easy for the refs to see the dive when Wideman was skating away from the action and then fell to the ice like the sniper in the rafters had just squeezed the trigger, but please!! The league should review it after the fact and levy a nice fine on Wideman for actions detrimental to the game or SOMETHING!

Anywho, terrible game last night, at least 2 posts, Dustin Brown killing momentum with his turnovers in the O zone, Clifford refusing to pass the puck to anyone in the same jersey as himself, too many penalties... park and ride, right?
