Sorry for the delay with the blog, but I figured I'd write more than 2 paragraphs for your guys and or rushing it.

The Flames don't play the capitals tomorrow....or Columbus any time soon either.....

They Play Anaheim tonight, SJ on Saturday and LAK on Monday... and its a 5 game road trip, not 3 game road trip....

Monahan has been looking like a Tony the Tiger out there, while MacDonald has been giving them steady tending...figure Hartley doesnt want to risk playing Ramo until hes sure that he's ready. I like his style so far, he employs a smart game.

...apparently I DID rush some of it....when I checked the schedule google listed Anaheim as their next game, and when you expand the list the next listed game was their first game of the year Oy vey...let me go fix that!

I try to be a hockey fan first. I can appreciate good players, no matter what team they are on, maybe cept the Habs. Anyway, I have followed Monahan a bit and thought his game would be suited for the NHL. He has the size and understands how to find empty space. I think he stays.

This might have been a "weak game" earlier in the season but not any more. the Flames have been playing solid hockey, much to the chagrin of Fletcher. No, the only real "weak game" right now is the Oilers. What a defensive mess they are.
Looking forward to seeing Monahan match up against Hampus Lindholm.

Next 5 games will be a real test for these young Flames. On the road against, big, tough divisional opponents. I'm interested to see how they react to the physicality of the California teams...not sure how our smaller D will make out against the likes of Getz, Thorton, Kopitar et all.

I think 6 outta 10 points would be a considered a very successful road trip.

It was Ramo takes over as starter and plays 4 in a row within the next 7 games. Tonight is game 3 and Mac is in. So Ramo needs to start the next 4 in a row.
