Kaleta is a goof and I hope that he gets a lengthy suspension. However, I hope that he's back for the next Toronto game, so he can get beat on and we can watch him turtle. He is a classic, when it comes to that.

Can't wait for the next great Sabres tilt, when they play New Jersey......it'll be a classic for the ages.

I was at yesterdays game against the Wild...
The Sabres looked horrendous.
The only positive was their penalty killing... but I think they used the same premise on the power play as it was about as effective as a penalty kill!
the fact they scored a goal shocked me... as they rarely hit the net or got shots.

Gonna be a long year Sabres fans.

On Kaleta... team is better without him. He's getting a five game vacation.

I agree with this. A while back, he was a okay pest. Right now though, he's just a liability.

Any news on super rookie Ristologrenko?
- nikoli1206

The Risto part is fine.

It's the "Renko" part that has us scratching our heads.

But he is only 19.

Little early in the morning for posts to already start getting deleted (I'm assuming).

That hit is much like the kind of thing that Matt Cooke does, not as severe as his elbow on Marc Savard but similar. As we know Cooke got nothing for that but that's the last time anyone gets away with it. Also similar to what Tie Domi did to Scott Neidermayer in the playoffs a number of years ago.
Maybe I need to read through a few of the previous blogs but I feel for any Sabres fans in Southern Ontario who have subscribed to NHL Center Ice and now are getting those games blacked out unless they have the Bell satellite service for TV. They are being robbed.

Does shanaban take into consideration games missed leading up to a suspension? So because kaleta missed 2 already will he only be given a 3 game suspension if the minimum is 5 ?

Yes.
If he is given a 5 game suspension he would still have 3 games to serve.
