Oh, you mean Claude Giroux 2.0, Pageau? Maybe you need to split up Methot and Karlsson. Maybe move Cowen up to the top pairing for a bit.

No we meant to say David Clarkson, Wendell Clark 2.0. Sorry for the confusion.
please also remind me again of the Daryl Sittler greatest night in NHL history game.

The Western conference is just straight up better than the East, once we start playing teams closer to home then we'll start to pick it up a little. I'd like to see the Macarthur-Turris-Ryan line for a whole game or so, it would either give Ryan or Spezza/Michalek easier matchups.

Also its nice to see Clouts is still up to the same things. Zibby and Lehner for Yakupov

I don't know why Michalek has to be tied onto Spezza's wing. The guy by far the least impressive of our big 3 of Spezza, Ryan, and Michalek (with Ryan playing the best so far). If I had a dime for every time I saw Michalek swing and miss for a shot this road trip, I'd be buying this team from Melnyk.

Yakupov could be sick on the sens, but I would be pissed forever if they traded both lehner and zibby for him. I personally think Lehner is currently the best back up tender in the league. He will become a star if he keeps playing the way he does... just not yet sold on that status for Yakupov

Yeahhh... We're well aware of how ridiculous spatso's comparison is.

Cowen? top pairing?

I assume you haven't been watching the sens play, recently.

I wonder if Rundblad will play tomorrow.

You'd have to think one of Pageau or Da Costa are going to be sent down in place of MZ93 at this point.

Or send them both down, bring up Andre Petersson for a look as well. I liked what I saw in pre season from him and he's certainly put a long of time in Bingo.

In his defense, he had a goal. The offense is not the problem.

1.Its the stupid penalties they keep taking
2. they aren't good at all on penalty kill
3. They need to practice carrying the puck outside their zone, maybe learn from Turris (he's on fire)

As an NHL organization, I don't think anything's justified by stating "that one conference is better than the other , and that's why we lost". Sure, they're monsters when it comes to zone-play. However no amount of chemistry, skill, etc... can help you win when you just simply don't have your heart in it..

I think everyone needs to take a deep breathe here. If you had asked me what a sucessful start would have been prior to the season, I would have said .500. So far we have only played one team that won't make the playoffs and all the games have been on the road. Last night was the only game we were out of it and that was a set up. The sens probably would have lost to anyone under those circumstances.
Sure, some guys haven't looked great but we are only at game 5.
This is no time to jump to conclusions.

da costa needs to be put on waivers-- just bc he goes on waivers doesnt mean he will get picked. up. he hasnt done "much". its a 60/40 chance.

pageau needs to be sent down. he needs to get back into the habit of dominating in bingy, before he can come back up.

zibby should be here already.

i'd bring up zibby for third line, and then a bottom 6 player, move smith back to center for 4th line. petersson, prince-- SOMEONE.

if they refuse to bring up zibby then i'd keep da costa for bit, but move him to 3rd line away from ball and chain type players. that is of course, if pageau gets sent down. id like to see if pageau can bounce back in nashville. but im thinking he may be destined for a demotion, albeit, temporary.

just by 2cents

we better crush nashville.

i think we also need to see karlsson step it up, he is a big reason the sens have success. it seems to be related, when karlsson is scoring, the sens are playing way better and winning. the other night against anaheim was not only because the first line isnt producing. that was a complete defensive melt down.

just a side not for a certain sens fan, subban is where on the scoring list? so far im winning the bet haha albeit 5 games in

I think everyone needs to chill the F out. The Sens are historically terrible on the West Coast road trip. We have yet to play a home game and everyone is panicking. Chill. There are some positives to take from the first 5 games though. Turris is looking better and better, Ryan is exactly what was billed and Lehner is ready to take the #1 spot. Ok, the rest is bad I agree but let's wait till the new year before throwing everyone and their sisters under the bus.

Now, let's win in Pheonix in front of all 12 people there and come back to hopefully a sold out CT Centre for the NJ game. These guys need to play a tighter game and dictate the play instead of having it shoved down their throats.

Well heading into yesterday the West was something like 26-6-3 against the East so far this season...

Turris has looked great...maybe finally taking that step forward we have all been waiting for...him and Ryan looked good together.

Spezza is still a little broken, you can tell something is up, he looks very tentative the last few games, and karlsson is getting there, only 5 games in once they get home and can get settled in hopefully they can get things together.

Also Da Costa experiment needs to be over...time to bring back zibby, da costa has been useless....Phillips has been struggling...super hard too..

I think turris will have a big game in phoenix on tuesday. he's played well so far, and he'll extra motivated.

I think it's jsut the way they've been playing that has people freaked out.

Tons of unforced turnovers, and bad passes, stupid penalties.

Some of those problems could be addressed more easily then some of the other more obvious problems on the team though.

No doubt Pageau should be in the AHL. Not a 4th line player and not good enough for 3rd line duties yet. Caught lightning in a bottle last year and will be good in time.

Furthermore, DaCosta is not an NHL player. Wont ever be IMO. Not suited to play bottom 6 either.

Say what you will about MZ, but the two players who 'beat him for his spot (Bryan Murray' look like complete duds. MZ is better suited, better build and more NHL ready than any other player they have in the minors. That begs the question, how about Jim Obrien for the 4th line role with MZ taking third line center. JOB is already being paid NHL money and has proven he can log 4th line minutes without hurting his team...

As for Turris, I think this is the year he is ready to push Spezza to be the #1 guy on this team. Its not uncommon to have your protege take over for the mentor and as soon as he gets a wee bit stronger on the puck, he will be ready to be a #1 guy I think. Not saying Spezza is old news by any means, but just saying eventually there will be a changing of the guard I think...we could see the emergence this year

Yeah, all 6 of the D have been brutal. Wiercoch, who I think can play the game well, just hasn't looked good either. I'd still take him over Jake Gardiner though LOL
