Afternoon match today. European NHL fans appreciate.

Two top goalies match up. It's gonna be interesting.

Louie Eriksson looks lost to me, and I'm not even talking about goals. He is too old and too talented for me to give him a pass for being in a new system. Reilly Smith played in Dallas and he has looked better IMO.

I feel like Eriksson would be better served playing with Krejci and Lucic.

The 2nd line hasn't clicked one bit. They are still trying to make everything look way too pretty.

The third line has been hands down the most consistent line through three games. I didn't think i would like Reilly Smith just for the mere fact that i want Spooner to get his chance but he is growing on me fast.

That line has been flying.

Was thinking the same thing myself. I hope we can score a few this afternoon. Also glad Horton won't be in the line up

I am perfectly OK with him being a good player at this point. 20 goals?

Yeah he should. He's always been a slow starter for sure.

Claude swapped Smith and Marchand right around the time when Louii scored.

Loved the jackets jerseys, old school.

So is iggy Recchi or Horton? Seems like more the former, at least Ericsson has the age and legs top be on the top line instead buts it's still so early. Anyway
, points for both today.

Horton admitted yesterday about being butt hurt Chia didn't try to lock him up with a long term contract earlier. Makes more sense why he left now. It wasn't just his wife hating the Hub. I wish him well but I'd rather have Iggy right now.

I like the top two lines and Iggy and Louii are collectively an improvement over Horton and Jagr. Plus, the former both kill penalties. Wish we had them for last year's playoff run.

Interested in hearing why Claude flipped Marchand and Smith.
