NOPE. I would think there is a bigger match with Washington. I think that Mike Green and Karl Alzner can be had for the right mix. that would be the only type of talent I would consider dealing Yakupov for. The tough thing would be to make the $$ balance out.

The Oilers just got both Ference and Perron...they aren't going to ship them out 3 games into the season.

NOPE. I would think there is a bigger match with Washington. I think that Mike Green and Karl Alzner can be had for the right mix. that would be the only type of talent I would consider dealing Yakupov for. The tough thing would be to make the $$ balance out.

1.) an upgrade for Bozak
2.) top pairing defenceman

Our trade chips, Gardiner, any center not named Kadri, Kulemin, Franson (only if a good defender is coming back) maybe Reimer, or solid yet no outstanding prospects.

The Oiler's big trade chip are skilled wingers, the last thing the leafs need!

Not being a homer either, there are lots of teams who would LOVE to grab one of Edmonton's young wingers, you could land a top paring guy no problem just not from Toronto.

I dont think it's being a homer. I think Howard Berger was acting more like a Homer. The fit isnt really there. Definitely not for Gardiner or a (never ever going to happen) Yakupov deal.
