Good fight. To me, looked like Ward squibbed it in and he was just trying to stay up while Hainsey had a hold of him. Oh well. |

@MolinariPG: Carolina is paying $900,00 of the $3 million salary of Jussi Jokinen, whose goal has given the Penguins a 1-0 lead after one period.

I really disliked the feel I got from some of the bloggers round here about nisk and glass. Those that felt moving them was best for cap reasons, hey, that was legit. But those that wanted to dump on them after last season, I sure hope your watching. Glass = comeback player of the year. (ok, not a huge gamble on my part cause last year was so rough) . Also, Bennett has been an absolute pleasure to watch and I don't doubt he rounds out our top 6 this year competing with jokinen and in years to come. |

1) It's 2 games and 1 period in. Relax.
2) Bennett has been great and nobody doubted that
3) Nobody said Niskanen is bad. He just makes $2.3 million and he's a 3rd pairing guy. If anything he's upped his worth to another team if the Penguins want to move him. Obviously with Letang out his contributions have been great.

Nisky had an injured knee that affected his playoff performance. That's what had us doubting him. |

1. I never pegged him to turn into top 6, but I felt he had it in him to turn into a good 4th line guy after a full training camp and some adjustment time.
2. Never said anyone did although I had argued he needed to really show up Jokinen for the spot. He has definately proved to me he should be up there, though Jokinen also has shown that. The depth is phenominal
3. A lot of people implied Nisk was bad, and he did have a rough go of it in the playoffs, but then so did the superstars towards the end. |

With all the trade Nisk stuff I read, I never once read about an injured knee. Not once. Now I don't religiously read all the responses in this blog but I do enjoy the forum and injured knee wasn't a trending issue. Money was, making room for rookies was, but many people seemed like they needed a scapegoat. not everyone but many. |

The scapegoat...which was more reality...was Bylsma refusing to change on the fly in games. |

Ask Walshy, I trust him implicitly and he said it last year. Walshy? |

I agree that was reality. I wasn't on board with those wanting him fired but I wasn't a fan of the extension. I understand wanting to keep the guy from testing the waters after he coaches in the olympics, nut that was a bit much for my taste |

Kirk Maltby, Peter Chiarelli and Rick Kehoe are all in the building scouting...along with a few other scouts/front office folks.
