And a couple new line mates.
Line has looked completely out of sync as it has numerous other times with okposo there. This of course means leave things the way they are in capuanos head. We were lucky to get any points out of both of those games. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. |

Just one. Moulson is atleast scoring goals. KO needs to be moved down. Its time for Bailey or Nelson to get the role |

Yotes are pretty good as well. Their D and goalie move the puck very well. |

My concern, as mentioned in the last thread, is that Moulson's shortcomings are so vast that it puts too much pressure on the other wing. You could get away with being Phil Esposito back in the 1970's but in todays game, if you can't skate worth a damn and backcheck, your other linemates spend too much time compensating for the lack of ice you cover. If Moulson is to remain on that line, the Isles need a dynamic player on that other wing with explosive speed and defensive instinct (calling #40).

It puts pressure on the entire team when he is on the ice. We will never know how good that line can truly be with whats playing on it. Okposo can be good but he needs to be on the second line. Common sense at this point. Bailey is the closest thing to a decent compliment for the first line. Looked good there last year yet Okposo continues to get a look even though he looks completely out of sync.
We are once again witnessing Capuano's short comings as a coach. He really is clueless and yes before some Crappy advocate barks at me I can say that 2 games in. |

No Okposo is one of the last players I want on that line at this point. |

I agree, Grabner's speed doesn't fit well with JT's game. Bailey would be my pick for the top line with KO taking his spot on the second line. That said, Okposo did have a couple of great chances against the jackets, but that line looks out of sync.

And we're basing this on how many games on JT's wing? 2-3? Chemistry is typically something that is built in sports, not just natural. Grabs has the speed to pull defenders over and free up space for JT. In addition, his speed allows him to effectively backcheck and a rate that neither Bailey nor Okposo come close. I'd much prefer him over KO there and I'm not really so sure Bailey is as effective of a choice on that wing too. Truth be told, our best option is playing in BPT right now and won't be ready for quite some time.

Like I say, Bailey belogns on the line with Moulson and Tavares. Okposo belongs to the line with Nielsen and Grabner, period. If Capuano can't figure that out then may god help us all |

JT needs a setup man. The guy is a goal scorer more than a setup man. Grabner does not fit that description, nor Okposo. The only one who resembles it is Bailey who played well there last season and Okposo looked awesome on the second line. Why Capuano felt the need to change it is beyond me. Everyone will think he's a genius for putting them back the way they were. Guy is a terrible coach with a facking flea brain. Moulson is picking up where he left off last year. He can score all the goals he wants and there will always be a few people who think he's great. Enjoy, as long as that pile of shat is on JT's line and you have either pegs or people who don't belong on the other one we will have games like the last two. Other teams will continue to create a fore check based on Moulson's horrible defensive play. Actually you can't call something horrible if it doesn't exist I guess?
We can't continue to survive on "secondary scoring" alone. I don't give a shat if we're two games in.

So Grabner, who had less than a handful of games with JT, has not chemistry with him, but Bailey who had only a few games with JT is clearly the guy who BELONGS there. I'm not saying he won't succeed there, but I'm not as confident as many of you that Bailey and his 140 career points in 350 games or whatever is our RW numero uno of choice.

If Moulson and Boyes can score at a ppg pace I'll give Bailey the benefit of the doubt. I'm not huge on Grabner ojn that line honestly but I do remember one game where he looked pretty good with JT. |

I agree that Okposo's best spot is with Nielsen. As for Bailey, until I start to see some finishing ability and a little more grit in the corners (where most of his game would need to be played), I'm not totally sold on him there either. I've said for a while that the Isles need a guy who can draw attention with the puck and bide time for JT and MM, but I find Bailey way too inconsistent to suddenly consider a reliable RW1 guy. Can't hurt to put him there for a while. Overall I would have preferred to get a bigger body up front, but I don't think anyone like Nelson is near ready for that.

I can't believe i read a post earlier by someone on here declaring this defense is by far the best this team has had in years. Is this how stupid and blind this thread has become that someone can actually look at our defense and with a straight face declare this is the best defense this team has had in years? Take your head out of the facking freezer |

Well, it ain't exactly saying much. We haven't had a decent defense in nearly a decade.
