Well at the very least I would hope to see some emotion from this team tonight!

I at least hope to see a more sustained effort tonight against a team they SHOULD beat. We probably wont see real change until after the Pittsburgh game when they get that 5 or 6 day game break.

I look forward to hearing from you following the morning skate. I would really like to see Gustafsson get a chance to play tonight. I would try and send a message to Coburn by scratching him for Gus. Coburn has looked uninterested out there and his penalties were mainly caused by his unwillingness to keep his feet moving. Maybe a night in the press box will wake him up.

Never thought I would see the Craig Berube era. Well since it is upon us, might as well start winning some (frank)ing games.

I agree. Really though, they need a win in the worst way to start to rebuild some confidence and good mojo.. We've been a really awful and boring team to watch of late IMO.

Agreed. Win or lose, I want to see them be the hungrier team.

I am a pretty big Flyers' fan, so this was disheartening to me:
Sunday, I put on the Eagles' game (not really that big of a fan) and watched it until it was over. After that, I put on the Pirates game, something I had even less interest in, just until the Flyers came on. At 5, I put on the Flyers.

By 5:15, I was switching back and forth between the Pirates and Cowboys game, 2 games I had no interest in, because they seemed more interesting that the Flyers. I realized last night that it was a sign that something was wrong, when I'd rather watch 2 sports I don't really care about, with team I don't care about, than my favorite team in the world. It was just boring. There was nothing enjoyable about it.

I fully expect Newsboys' song, Restart, to play during the pregame tonight.

Uninspired and heartless play has a way of bringing on apathy.

It's hard to watch a 5'9" 170 lb player like Brendan Gallagher outwork and want it more then the Flyers entire team.

I'd like to see Gus too, but I don't think Coburn should sit. He gets a lot of blame (now that Matt Carle's gone), but he's not who I'd sit. Meszaros has been 100% blah to me, and I don't want him or Streit on the 2nd pair.

I don't think anybody on the team deserves to escape the wrath. But I thought that Meszaros has steadily improved from how he looked in the pre season. Which was pretty bad. He's not there yet, but he's getting better.

I'd rather hear a Newsboys' song after each goal, than that TNT abomination.

I'm glad I was at Evil Dead the Musical and missed the entire Montreal game. It sounds like Lecavalier was out there by himself most of the night.

I'd rather they go back to Bro Hymn. Pick a damn song and stick with it.
Also, the intro video song if Hey Man, Nice Shot? Really? I thought that Call of a Warrior song was good.

Well, like I said, I haven't watched more than the first game and a portion of the Canes game, but he just looks like a 6th defenseman right now. I'm not saying he won't get better, but right now, he's the one I'd sit, if anyone.

the draft in Philly should be interesting if the Flyers struggles continue. Hexy will have many trade options and high draft picks.

Its not his overall play that ticks me off about Coburn. Rather it's watching him take lazy penalty after lazy penalty. He frustrates the heck out of me because he has clearly shown in the past to have the ability to be an above average NHL Dman, but he rarely seems to go all out.

I agree. But, be that as it may, he's still the best #4 D we have.

If Berube accomplishes what he says he wants to do. I bet the Flyers defenseman start looking a whole lot better.
