really like Skinner's line. When Ruutu comes back its a tough where you put him, I think you swap dwyer out and him in, adds a little more offense and loses nothing on defense. Less speed, but more physicality. And Staal is more in the 70 pt range every year not 60. Pretty positive without looking it up but when playing a full season (besides his rookie year) he has not missed hitting the 70 pt mark.

Good catch on the Staal error. I fixed it. His full-season low was exactly 70 pts. I have gotten better over the years, but I tend to write real quickly and then fill in/check exact facts afterward. The first part is fun. The second part is work, so I sometimes get lazy with it.

Short-term, I like the luxury of easing Ruutu back into things on the 4th line. That line is not completely without scoring ability, so it could make the Canes 4 lines deep in terms of offense. Longer-term, he could play RW on either the 2nd or 3rd line. Obviously you are not going to move Dvorak while he is in the middle of a goal-scoring streak but I think Ruutu can similarly skate with the kids, add a big more size and pop and has more offensive upside than Dvorak. But the best thing of all is having a top 6 forward coming off IR and not really a place where you need him immediately.
