I don't put too much stock into things this early, but goaltenders having a hard time adjusted to new nets and pads is sure a lot worse than I would've thought. Some real good goalies with a Spct worse than .900 or gaa worse than 3.00.
Be interesting to see which ones rebound and which ones fall behind and potentially out of their starter position or in some cases the league. |

The San Jose Sharks as a collective have been very impressive so far all right. Somewhere I heard this before. The problem is, the Sharks have had this reputation of being the best team in the league when it doesn't matter. Nobody in the league gives 2 poops about how impressive SJ is in the regular season, IMO. They are still among the 5 (or 6) teams in the NHL who never made it to the SCF. Enough said. |

It remains very, VERY early into the season, but the Kid line in Montreal (Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher) have been very impressive. They're still behind Plekanec's line in terms of competition, but they have scored 5 of Montreal's 7 goals this season and have been utterly dominant in terms of possession. Still WAY to early to draw conclusions or estimate as to how they'll finish the season, but they look lethal 2 games in. |

I look at the Sharks as a potential for Edmonton and a few years and wonder what would happen if we spent all this time and never could win, how would fans take it.
My question to you is are you okay with being competitive year in and year out. Or would you rather see the Sharks shake things up, not knowing if you will be able to make it over that hump or end up taking a step back? |

Shake things up. The current core has had way too many chances of making it over the hump. |

Ryan O'reilly will impress on the wing this year. He will be a dominant player |

I know its very early and I know that this is still projecting to be a very long season in Calgary but the tempo and effort in the first 3 games has been very refreshing. After watching several years of getting out worked, its nice to see the compete level rising in the young guys. Hopefully they can keep playing at this level all season and starting minimizing the mistakes and turnovers. |

Trouba as a 19 y/o is playing 20 plus minutes a night in all situations. It's very early, but the initial impressions are very good |

I've been impressed by Colorado's start. Their offense has really been going and as was stated their goaltending has really been there.
Definitely impressed by Mason Raymond's play, being effective in just about every situation possible. But also pretty impressed early on with Bernier's play in goal. A start and relief effort, but he's been excellent.

Come on keep it clean. It's a question of who has impressed, not what team you want to bash. |

Nasty Nate Mackinnon! My blind distaste for hockey Canada had my fist in the air screaming in anger when we chose him. I had illusions of a stud Dman In my beloved burgandy and blue, as well as my adored TeAm USA red white and blue. However that distaste became so sweet when I saw this kid flying down the Ice and showing superstar Vision and an NHL stride. |

...I'm really impressed with the Avalanche, I think they'll go 82-0 by the way they are playing. Keep in mind I'm not an Avs fan and this is in no way a biased view, they really just look that good. |

haha um, the only reason you have a team let alone a team thats won a couple cups is because of canadians... i think youre bitter..

69.8% of the league is made up of canadians... oh and maybe to burst your bubble too.. first ever game of baseball was played in ontario and it was a canadian who invented basketball... |

Wasn't that the scouting report on him last year, more or less? That he played a very NHL style game, and would make the jump smoothly? |

Colorado, for me. I figured it was only a matter of time with so many young talents in the system, but Patty Roy as coach should help their passion and goaltending, too. |

I agree. Its a real treat to see those kids starting to gel.. albeit its only 2 -3 games. But a good starr is something a lot of people were betting against. Nate has such incredible vision! |
