"Don't plan the parade route just yet" is probably the most relevant point - especially given the extent to which people would have been spitting bile if they'd lost these games. The reality is that they've been outplayed in 2 of their 3 games so far, and have only played 1 consensus playoff team.

Interesting to see the contrast between the Alberta teams.

Odd to see Edmonton, stacked with loads of young talent, fail to execute and lack in regards to heart and determination. Calgary, in the midst of a starting a rebuild, hustle to every puck and show 100X more grit than the Oilers.

I wonder if Eakins laid back style is a precursor of things to come? Hopefully not. Call me crazy.. but I think they have the potential for a dynasty.

I would love to see TO go 10 ad 0, then go on a losing streak when Clarkson comes back into the lineup.

I was glad to see Lack get his first win, and was also nice to see the Canucks battle back. I am curious what will occur when Kassian comes back, and where in the lineup you slot him in.

Or Defense, or some rookies, or a GM, or 15 tough guys, or media bias, or real fans, or an additional 50 years of history chalked full of cups, or the nhl head offices approval, or obvious suspensions not punished, or a don cherry, or a Darren dregor to try and up the value of our players....

There's so many factors we need.... Sigh... All these rules

I love wining when our lineup is so depleted : no Kassian no Burrows

I keep thinking there has to be another player coming in because the 4th liner Dalpe is invisible... Weise and Sestito are doing well enough and the third line including Santorelli and Richardson obviously is exceeding expectations... 11 forwards can't go on forever and perhaps Dalpe stays ... after Kassian draws back in? This lineup won't be scaring any teams beyond the Calgary Flames or Oilers however.

Oh my ... well I suppose if it's only ONE naive Leaf fan it's tolerable I wonder how long it'll be before their parade route is booked and the Leaf Nation comes trouping through the Canucks board telling us how we just need to wait 20 some years like they did for a competitive team to be assembled.

I've been impressed with Stanton myself, looks better than Weber/Alberts for sure.
