Grand Rapids wins 8-1 tonight. Dumping my Leaf tickets for Mariles vs GR this weekend!!! Hell, maybe even next weekend vs the Bulldogs

Not a great game by the Wings again but they won. Lots of shots from the outside and bad angles. Datsyuk looked really off tonight losing the puck often. Weiss, Alfie and Mule still aren't clicking at all while Alfie looks much better with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. I don't like the 3rd and 4th lines. Andersson, Bert and Cleary don't play well together compared to Andersson, Nyquist and Tatar. The 2nd PP unit is as horrible as can be. Hope this was enough for Sammy to start sitting in the press box.

Agree totally about the crappy 3rd & 4th line combinations... can you imagine how much more offense this team would generate with Nyquist - Andersson - Tatar on the third line... it would be WAY more dangerous. I'd like to see Miller - Emmerton - Eaves (when he's healthy) on the 4th line. This team still has too much dead weight in the bottom 6. But you know darn well... Babs is going to keep playing Samuelsson & Bert which is nauseating. I will say Sammy had a sweet goal against Buffalo with that tip-in. But his goals will be few and far between.

Power play continues to look like total crap. I almost vomited seeing Samuelsson, Bert and Cleary out there on it tonight. And... ZERO goals on it again.

I do like the fact they're keeping the goals allowed at 2 or less the first two games.

First unit looks like a matter of time before they start going in, but that second unit is ugly.

Wings called Mrazek back up to Detroit... Coreau was sent back down to GR.

Now if Gustafsson could stay on IR for a while and if Babcock would actually give Mrazek a shot at competing for the backup job. But I doubt that will happen.

Not having Tatar out there on the power play is downright stupid. He's got great hands around the net. Agree that the 1st unit will most likely start to click... let's just hope it's soon.

the forwards should be Tatar-Weiss-Bertuzzi

weiss and tatar using their skill to shoot out/make plays

I like out 4th line but third needs that youth injection being Tatar or nyquist but I like our 4th line with some skill which could still include either of the youngsters. Surprisingly tho I like Samuelson on it
