Fleury always has an awesome Reg. season so it's so hard to judge because soon as playoffs hit he crumbles, so I think he will be VERY good this reg season and PIT wont make the Goalie moves, then who knows come playoff time.

Holtby has been a mess, but its only 2 games in and Neuvirth looked solid in relief, but Holtby is young he will have time to figure it out.

Blogs a Trick just so he can yammer about Miller

Who wont make it, why bring in a guy from a last place team with losing culture, plus hes a cry baby, and there is only room in Sochi for 1 cry baby and thats Cindy

US team - Quick obviously is the starter and Anderson likely the back up

Canada is gonna have to wait till December to see what everyone has played like and go from there

Before the lock-out! and we havent won a cup since 1967! Clarkson is over paid. Bernier is a back-up goalie etc.....

this is true, but it's a never ending argument - when's the last time the sabres won the cup? 1967!!..blah blah blah

no point on arguing about the past, considering neither the leafs or sabres have done jack sh*t in the past 10 years.

I'd have to disagree... The Sabres have had some success in the last ten years... The Leafs... not so much.

success is making the finals or better. More 'success' yes, but it's weak sauce...

Right. So the Leafs have been unsuccessful for how many years in a row then?

In 1967 there were a grand total of 6 teams in the NHL. Its no coincidence that all of the original 6 teams won a Stanley Cup.

My point is sabres fans have nothing to chirp about. Your past 'success' would make a Bruins, red wings or Hawks fan chuckle. Sabres and Leafs fans arguing about who has had more success makes both look pathetic.

Chirp about this year, i don't care to discuss if Sundin was better than Lafontaine or who had better confernece finals apperances in the 2000s

I'm with you. Both sabres and leafs fans take trolling to a whole new level. My point was to say even if phoenix was an original 6 team they would have 1 or 2 cups. It will definitely be a long season for us though

at least you have tradeable assets and some good young pieces. if your GM plays his cards right, the rebuild won't be a long one

they only thing that Darcy does right is make trades. His drafting and free agency is suspect at best.

For the record the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67 (aircaft carrier) was nicknamed "the Big John" - coincidence?
