They said there was very weak tape to review . And the Coyotes presented a compelling case that Mr Bissonnette was actually legally on the ice . performing a legal line change . Who knows the truth . The NHL discipline system is broke .

Its not broken. Its flawed.

No different than the legal/justice system, really.

I don't know Garth, maybe because he was already ON the ice because of a line change?

The real joke is Nolan gets away with a headshot, that puts Rusty on the IR.

Clarksons won't have his suspension reduced. There is enough evidence, lets just leave it at that. I'd rather not have another week long pissing match with the leafs fans again.

I think they need to appoint an independent council that is not an employee of the league . That way there can be no argument that certain franchises receive preferred treatment. just a thought . Any retired players out there that are lawyers?

Retired players would not constitute an independent council.

I think they have a better knowledge of the game and this ever changing code . I don't see a better option unfortunately. I just thought of one - Ken Dryden.

The Sabres can get TJ Brennan and Pardy back, they are both on waivers. I kid of course.

If the Sabres truly want to re-sign Ryan Miller they can claim his best bud, J.M. Liles off waivers and see how that works. I don't want either of them them, Miller re-signed or Liles, but if Pegula truly wants to keep Miller that would be one tool in doing so.

Liles is still a good, useful defenseman. If it weren't for the cap issues Nonis would have happily kept him with the team.

Why would a Sabres fan care if Clarkson serves 10 games or less?
He didn't do anything once he was out there, so yes, it should be less... but I'm sure Sabres fans would get their panties in a bunch if he doesn't serve the full 10.

Why wasn't the Phoenix coach fined for player selection? He claimed to be making a player change involving Bissonette, who was involved in the brawl. How is that different from having John Scott on the ice after the Tropp fight? Can someone please explain, or does the player selection rule only apply to the Sabres?
