I don't get this line up for the Stars. Its pathetic. They should by now have their squad whittled down to almost their opening day roster. I hope the Oil show no mercy and trounce them in front of the OKC crowd which undoubtedly will be very pro Oilers.

No kidding. This will pretty much be opening line up so if we are looking lost out there tonight that may not bode well

Odd they don't have Chaisson in. Wanted to see what the kid was about.

Did you guys see the video from the end of season meeting for the Bruins when they were discussing Seguin? Not too much good was said about him by their management....

I was one of the people before the 2010 draft saying take Seguin because Center is more important. Glad the scouts got it right.....by a long shot...

I was also very pro-Seguin at the time. I know Boston's management was very down on him, but that's a championship calibre club dealing with a developing player. There's lots of time for him to prove Boston wrong.

A bit bush league IMO. Boston is a very respected club and really had no need to do what they did, regardless of what a 21 year old did behind the scenes.

With all our troubles with injuries I gotta admit the third line looks pretty good and I hope they come up with some big games.

Solid amount of skill and do or die on that line - nice job by Eakins to spread the depth a bit. IF that 3rd line gets some of the weaker competition it could really be huge for the team early on here.

Heck, you have to think the Eberle line will see the weaker D pairings so he could make a little extra noise as well.

Gonna be really interesting seeing how this all goes starting game 1.

Never a shortage of drama in Oil country.

Is it just me or are teams "scared" to ice an nhl line up??? at least against Edmonton. Canucks, Jets, Rangers, and now the stars have a large amount of AHL/JR players dressed. Or are they just hiding what they got?

Maybe this is a good thing for the Oilers, the team knows what the line combos are for the most part. And wining all these games could be adding a lot of confidence going into regular season.

In all fairness if teams still have a lot of AHL players it's probably because they have tough decisions to make. We could very well be dressing similar lineups, but made cuts early.

I get that point. At least the oilers haven't lost to one of those games.

(frank) I don't miss Clouts. I'm glad Mac didn't take any jabs at Kassian, I don't like that poop thru the media.

Did Mac catch him with a couple elbow to the top of the head?

Either way those elbow pads sure got in the way, in the NHL they would've broke the fight up.

Good scrap though.

Only way it could have been better if they did some sort of "good fight bro" head nod/fist bump at the end

Agreed. To Kassian's comment, Mac spoke about Bylsma making him a better professional, better hockey smarts et cetera. In some pipe dream ice parade I'm actually hoping Mac is good enough to play a little more then 3 minutes a night...I know it isn't happening.

Of course the good news is when Eakins wants the fourth line out there more, other forwards who have energy and are playing well can jump out there for extra minutes in place of Mac. Depending on the opposition I suppose, don't wanna end up with more injured top 6/9 guys but I like the idea of slidin' Yak out there with Brown and Acton.
