I hope someday we'll be able to say "Only without their #1 center and #1 goalie " about the Habs.

that would've made a difference for the Sens if they were playing the Habs, instead of the roster they faced last night.

a) P.K. Subban will lead the Habs in scoring. **Nope Pacioretty***

b) Pacioretty will score more than 30 goals. *if he doesn't is a disappointment*

c) Price will record more than 30 wins for the second time of his career. *He better....not really a big deal anymore***

d) David Desharnais will score at least 55 points (there's a bolder one). *doubt it*

e) Alex Galchenyuk will score at least 55 points. *sure...or close to it*

f) Daniel Briere will score at least 50 points (BOLD). *injury history and age say no to this one*

g) At least six Habs will score 20 goals or more (boldest). *lol*

h) Andrei Markov will finish top 3 in powerplay points. *doubt it. Patches, PK and another forward likely top him*

i) The Habs will make the playoffs. *BOLDEST*

Also, I don't think the Senators are better than the Canadiens.

I think he means they don't have a "true" #1 center and the jury is still out on Price.

cannot recall a preseason that told us so little about this club. it's weird to still be playing a team full of AHLers this close to the regular season. for the predictions...

i don't think it's realistic to think PK will play at the 80ish-point pace he did last year, not for a full season. i think a realistic number for him is 60. and i hope that doesn't lead the team. i don't think it will. i say Pacioretty goes for almost 70. but overall, this is kind of a feast or famine offense. i see plenty of nights where we score 5 or 6 but also plenty of nights where we score 1 or get shutout. as for the playoffs, it's all on Price. if he plays at a level commensurate with his salary, this is a playoff team, even if the injuries hit hard. if he drops another .905/2.5 GAA, team will be teeing it up by mid-April.

i mean come on. Sens are better everywhere. goalie, D, forwards, coaching. only areas we win are owner and speech impediments.

1) If Pacioretty scored 28, 29, it certainly won't be a disappointment. The Habs have the most spread offense in the East.

2) 30 wins is still a pinnacle for any goaltender in the league, especially one on a 50-50 playoff team.

3) 6 20 goalscorers is a lot. But, like I said, projections and averages will have to count if a given player suffers an injury.

That said,
I said Subban will lead the team in scoring, so I have him with 20 or more. Plekanec had one season under 20 over his last 7 (he had 14 last year in half a season), I got him as a lock to score at least 20. I have Gionta scoring 22 or more, so he's in there for me. I have Pacioretty scoring 30 or more, so ditto.

Between Bourque, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Briere and Eller, certainly two of them can score 20 goals or more.
