Whats the issue with Jones, seemed to be a decent "plug" or 3rd - 4th liner type

Took a puck or stick in the eye during the lockout. Not sure if vision is back and there are some who think it's holding him back.

He was a decent third liner, who played hard but if he isn't willing to dig like he use to he just doesn't have any skill that keeps him in the NHL.

With the injury situation right now I have lost all track of what the line combinations might look like on opening night?

His past performance suggests there's a player there, but he had a nasty eye injury during the lockout that required surgery. When he eventually came back he was playing very timid. If he cant play with a little bit of reckless abandon then the edge he had that made him an NHLer is gone.

I hope he finds it again because he is a very likable guy who should be able to contribute.

Lander really dropped the ball IMO. Not sure what is up, but the 4th line center spot was his to lose.

Going into training camp if you told me Gagner and RNH are out and Lander is in OKC, I would've called you a fool. Now the only fool is Lander. Hopefully he works his ass off in OKC

Nurse ~ It was the right decision, but damn... It had to be a tough decision -- He's exactly what we need.

That sucks. It sucks even more he couldn't get back into the reckless-yet-great grinding style of play we loved him for. Hopefully he does well with another team. If not, I'm sure a year in OKC will help him find his footings again.

I don't get the Oilers fascination with Lander.....this guy has 7pts in 67 NHL games ...even Pouliot had that many points in a 24 game season. And we all know how he turned out. He's not overly skilled, physical, fast or impressive in any way IMO. Even back in Sweden his stats didn't do anything to stand out.....he showed well at a "Wold Juniors Tournament" and that is what the Oilers are going by?

What fascination is there? I don't see the team actually doing all that much for the guy. If there was a fascination he'd be on this team right now.

What?! Clouts had Klefbom already penciled in to the top 4 as early as last season! How is this possible?!

It's because he has the potential to be twice the player Gretzky ever was.

And he talks like Pedro.
