The only truly bad play I've seen him make was accidentally batting the puck past Hiller in the last game. The kid is smart, can skate and can really pass the puck. He just needs to put some meat on those bones. I talked to him after a scrimmage at Anaheim Ice and he is slight. Give him a year of two to bulk up properly and he'll be a top 4 guy. |

Steve Palumbo: Anaheim Ducks Ink Shea Theodore to ELC - Steve Palumbo
With both of Lindholm and now Theodore coming up into a line up already containing Fowler and Vatanen, do you fear that there may not be enough of a shutdown presence on your blue line? Your left side also looks quite crowded with the aforementioned along with Sbisa, Beauchemin (he plays the left, right?), Souray, and Allen.
Maybe I'm making a hurricane out of rain clouds, but I feel like it's something to consider. You can never have enough good Dmen after all! |

Very true. Stationary D-men are easier to acquire than puck movers and skaters. but it will be a concern if something isn't done about it either through the draft or free agency.
Wow! Commenting on a Shea Theodore blog. I thought you had never heard of him??? |

Beauch was moved to the right side last year and thrived. But still I'm extremely nervous about our backend. So many puck moving defenseman and not enough stay at home guys. I'm just going to assume that murray wants the ducks to become the west coast penguins |

Even if it does get crowded. They will become valuable assets in the trade market in the future. I read a little bit about this kid in a kings blog by the mayor. Boudreau is very high on this kid. Everything about him sounds good. As the Ducks fan has said. Let him develop for another year or two. He might bulk up after one year. I like Vatanen. Hes got a booming shot. Hes like Zidlicky. Hopefully he will be better defensively than Zidlicky is. |

I think that Skilled two way talents can prevail without pure stay at home guys. Sbisa could be on his way out. Im sure some teams would pay nicely for whats still a young asset. |

Shea Theodore was my third favourite player from this draft right behind Zykov and Bigras. I was disappointed that the Oilers didn't try to trade up for him, but was happy to see him going to a team with s fair deal of recent success developing puck movers! |

I loved how Dean moved up to Get Zykov. I liked this kid so far. Glad we are in a situation to be able to send kids back to Juniors and etc to develop. |
