Very interested to see if Skinner and Lindholm can develop any chemistry. I like this potential third line pairing. Add in Gerbe and/or Dvorak, as the bookend and I see alot of potential.

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has trimmed its training camp roster to 35 players. Defensemen Danny Biega, Mark Flood, Austin Levi, Keegan Lowe, Rasmus Rissanen and Beau Schmitz; forwards Victor Rask, Justin Shugg, Brody Sutter and Brendan Woods; and goaltender Mike Murphy will join the Charlotte Checkers’ training camp, while forward Brock McGinn will return to his junior club (Guelph – OHL).

No huge surprises. Pretty much what I had in my blog yesterday with couple differences:
--Had right # of dmen but Corrente ranks above Flood and stays instead.
--Had forward cut list right except Rask. On the 1 hand, I am a little surprised that he did not get a longer look, but I think the clue might have been that he stayed at center where there is no room instead of moving to wing where he could compete for 1 of the openings.
--Muller went with 3 goalies instead of 4. As I said previously, I think the order here is pretty much set in stone, so it is more about preference for how many goalies Muller wants to have in tow for the 3-game trip and then again when the team returns to Raleigh.
