I still dont get why people read into preseason games...

Its a chance for goalies to see some action and get use to game-scenarios, the forwards to get some chemistry and shake the rust off their game-playing stickwork, and the defense to get their positioning on par.

Junior & AHL guys are the only ones I care about as if they truly stick out they may crack the roster...as in DONOVAN. He performed well above the rest of the junior/AHL defensemen.

He has earned his spot, the rest need to keep working at it.

That is all.

Why would they bench Bouchard? Also they will send Lee down to BP before they just let him rot as a healthy scratch.

On Brock Nelson's wing in the AHL.


This way he has a full season of playing on the wing under his belt and in 2014 he will be on JT's wing.

If Bouchard gets hurt - Strome will be called up into the top line RW position.

Preseason Hockey? It's even more meaningless than preseason football....
I would read far more into the practices than this first set of scrimages...

Tough call. Likely starts in Bridgeport and comes up if any of our top six players are either injured or tremendous disappointments. It's going to be awfully tough to keep a talent of his cabilber down for too long.
