Michael Stuart: Tampa Bay Lightning: Five Pre-Season Storylines

I know there won't be hockey on TV, but I wonder if the radio will have it on?

My question is this :

Jon cooper clearly made a huge impact on our defense , with a 2-1 scrimmage and a 1-0 scrimmage with the likes of stamkos St. Louis drouin Connolly Purcell playing ... Huge offensive weapons , now did we focus so much on defense that we are losing some of our offence ? Or are players just focusing more on defense to get that right because offence is not a problem at all and they need to get defense rolling before training camp ends

It's more like I took notes at the scrimmage, like the tool that I am, realized I am a half witted high school drop-out and can't write for anything. So I gave the notes to Mr. Stewart to see if he could do anything with my mindless dribble. He would have MUCH more credibility if he keep my name out of it.

There were offensive opportunities, but that has never been our issue. Playing all 200 feet of ice is and that is what Cooper wants to teach.

yeah for sure, but i noticed 2-1 and 1-0 is an odd score for a lightning game, very low scoring game...that is amazing for us on the defensive side of the puck but the offense doesn't seem to be there JUDGING ON THAT SCORE,

but like you said there WERE more offensive oppurtunies, so that is a huge plus for us...to have good offensive oppurtunities and limit the other team to 1-2 goals sounds great im pleased with that

It's a training camp scrimmage. It means very little. Until we see what happens in real game action, it's hard to know what's up.
