I'd argue your total of 0 stanley cups supplants the leafs unfortunately. So congratulations, your team is finally #1 at something!

As for the jets, going to be a really rough year for them. West is a much tougher conference and they have Vesa Toskala as their goalie.......

I agree the Jets have no identity. When a player puts on the sweater of the Bruins or the Flyers, he knows it's going to get some blood on it (probably Leaf blood). When he plays for the Wings or Habs, he better be ready to skate. Any team with Torts at the helm will excell at shot blocking.

I don't think the Jets players lack character or will, I think the coach is the problem. It's too bad because I like Noel but I just don't see the Jets getting any better in their own zone. The power play still stinks, they are still inconsistent and still can't keep out a goal in the last minute of the period. They still win the games they shouldn't and lose the ones they need to win.

The Jets should model themselves after the Islanders: and underrated underdog that takes pride in being relentless. The Isles aren't stacked but they can give most teams all they can handle. The Jets could and should be like this.
