Did you do any digging about the article that caused abrupt response?

of course she has not, she never does any research on anything. for years she's copied Alan Hahn or Arthur Staple verbatim

if Dee ever really reported she would have exposed the Kate Murray corruption brigade long ago... or at least focused the light of public scrutiny upon it, but she never did....That would have taken journalistic cojones..... Something Dee sorely lacks

" Imagine my embarrassment when I asked one question based on an article I had read regarding something in the construction of the building."

I believe she answered your question with one word.

More earthshaking pom pom waving from Dee. Here's a tip...when you tell your reader that you asked a question that gets such a response, TELL THE READER WHAT THE QUESTION WAS!!!!

For so long you've taken the "7th woman" thing to the point of being the Isles "Front Office Media Intern" that this site is ruined for me. There is no questioning. There is no insight or thought. It is all just an endless drone of what the Isles want you to post for them.

I'm not saying you have to be Woodard or Bernstein. But for sooo long you've done nothing to upset the applecart so you could continue your access to the "blog box" and not upset Emperor Wang. How is it you don't even state what the question was?

I look forward to your next "Islander player [insert name] will be appearing at the Islanders store at [insert time and date] to sign autographs" update. That is now all the information that comes from this site about the Isles thanks to you.

I'm certainly not a fan of her but if you think a Dee Karl blog would've "focused the light of public scrutiny" on corruption within LI politics you're overestimating her reach. It was well documented and reported by quite a few. It's well known throughout the communities what's wrong with LI politicians. Unfortunately it continues. With that said I agree with everything else you stated.

Dee does a good job. I may not understand the logistics of what an Islanders blogger is, but I do enjoy most of her stuff. We're not talking newspapers and electronic media here. It's a blog!

I get the impression U dont really like Dee

To be honest I dont know her personally. she may well be a decent woman in every other respect. But as one of the primary sources of Islander related news, her reporting has been criminally negligent.

It takes drive and determination to write consistently about anything, and her love for the Islanders is commendable. However to fail consistently to address the truth and to gloss over the real issues makes Dee partially complicit for the loss of the team.

I hold her accountable for her willingness to aid and abet in that loss

While that is certainly true to an extent, Dee consistently avoided controversy, Her "pompom waving" as islander4cups so aptly put it obscured the Issues.

She was directly complicit with obscuring the Light of Truth, Dee spread propaganda that kept the fans in the dark. Her Blog was the tool used to keep the fans in the Dark.

Amen

With all the valid and franchise altering news that could have been reported over the years, Dee never felt the need to address any of it.

Chris Botta to his credit went so far as to have Wang ban him to report "the Issues." Dee Karl, never even tried.....

Thats the difference

Dee has no reason to lament the loss of Long Island's only Championship bearing franchise.... when she is complicit in its loss

Sometimes, allot of the serious readers forget, that some bloggers are fans of the game. She's showing that she enjoys the lighter side of hockey and cheering for her team. You want the serious stuff? Read EK or Augello. This kind of chatter forced Cloutier and Garth away from what they where writing about. Sure, it's not serious, but it shows the entertainment value of the NHL. All of the bloggers don't have to be serious and wanting to dredge up false rumours or innuendo's. Maybe we need a little more fun and a little less seriousness.

Being serious and dredging up false rumors is a bit of an oxymoron. Cloutier was entertaining Garth is just a yahoo. Giving incorrect information and not having a sense of what's going on in the sport of hockey let alone the team you root for usually doesn't lead to an entertaining read. Saying Kyle wellwood would be a good addition on our blue line kind of eludes to a lack of hockey knowledge "fan" or not. I'm not going to sit here and bash for the sake of doing so if you find her blogs entertaining that's your opinion of which you're entitled too. Too each their own.

Theres a difference between being entertaining and spreading misinformation. for years Dee has avoided reporting anything controversial and with this Franchises situation over the years, I'm sorry that doesnt cut it. Propganda isnt reporting and it isnt fun, its deliberately misleading your readers and has abetted those who cost Long Island their one true professional franchise.

Additionally since nature abhors a vacuum, Dee writing this Blog, kept someone else who may have been willing to address those controversial topics from doing so. Dee stood as a roadblock in the path of others who may have written more than simple propaganda.

while you may well enjoy a good fire, playing a fiddle while Rome burns, is not my Idea of civic responsibility

I have read some fun blogs from Dee. But I wouldn't read her for actual news or journalism. She seems to enjoy writing and following the team, this is good. She is pretty consistent with posting new stuff and have never noticed her to claim She knows what's going on. Some people just like being around the team and will never ask the hard questions. 'It is what it is '

I wish our blogger posted up new stuff even once a week, his quality of work when he does is usually great. I just feel like a nomad between blogs

She got her credentials, likes it, and will never ask a question that goes against the team. Some are like this. Think Ek. He will tease us, but he would never ask a question in public that goes against the party line.

Eklund reports what he hears, and he has different sources, Just because things may not reach fruition does not mean that certain things werent discussed.

And Ek knows enough to at least try to filter out what he suspects might be a source who is trying to use him (unlike Darren Dreger, who seems to be in Cousin Dave Nonis' pocket)

Dee on the other hand, does not have sources, she does next to no independent research and does not filter what she reports. it is written as it is given to her, without regard to its validity She is prone to passing on misinformation because she doesnt know enough to recognize that an agenda is being advanced and she is an unwitting accomplice

Say what you will about Eklund, but at least he is transparent about what he does and how he does it. He is fully aware of his own limits and he states them up front.

Dee doesnt because she hasnt even considered that others may have an agenda

Have to agree the Dee bashing is getting kind of old. If you hate her work or whatever we have another blogger. Honestly I don't read most of any bloggers. I come to talk Isles and hockey, the blogs are just extra.

Please tell me when they suit up full time at the Barclay's, they'll have the clock over centre ice instead of the blue line.
