Pronger on LTIR fixes most of their issues, and meszaros has to be the one being moved if they do deside to move a D, being a pending UFA
Coburn has a decent cap hit for 3 more seasons, you dont move that contract |

The Cleary thing is just hilarious. Wings kind of want him back (at the right price) but they don't have the roster spots or cap room.
So he decides to move on (good for him, probably best for the Wings since he would block a young kid from the lineup), but he decides to sign with the one team with a worse cap situation than the Wings. |

"In Buffalo, it appears very likely that RFA center Cody Hodgson will be signing a "bridge contract" in the next day or so."
That's it? Apparently you have no supporting evidence since you just throw out a comment like this and don't back it up. Every Sabres fan has been waiting for this all summer and you can't provide any details or evidence to support this?? Either way, I hope you're right this time and not just blowing smoke. |

The cap situation means nothing to a player if he gets assurances from the team that his roster spot is safe. |

Yeah, I wouldn't read anything into that. Goalies have to start using shorter pads this season.
It may be a case of new pads for Miller. |

Yes, he needed to get new pads. But, white.... in anticipation of making the Olympics or moving to another team? |

Maybe because it gives him a slight advantage against shooters? |

Philly is better cap wise than Detroit. Once Pronger is LTIR they are fine. |

Missed reading ya!!!
Garth, keep up the great work.
I personally enjoy reading your work and behind the scenes updates.
I couldn't find the score of the prospects tournament until one of the comments of Kevin's blog, where as in the past you keep us up to date as it happens...
Anyone can write their opinions and be a novice blogger but I like that you are on the scene and can blog what we can't see, as with Armia
Much of the negative criticism that you and Ek receive are uncalled for.
I want inside info! Even if it is farfetched sometimes, it's fun... I can ask buddies at work or the bar who they think the Sabres no 1 line is or if Myers is our number one D man.
I was actually wondering about Armia and the lack of stats. Glad to hear that he looked good. |

Garf... if you read this, please come back...
Kevin doesn't post enough, and these NHL posts don't garner enough attention or comments... I need 10 pages or more comments to read through each day to feed my unadulterated addiction to the world of hockeybuzz... seriously, dude, come back!!!
Haters gonna hate, but at least we had something to talk about!!!! |

Since you are covering all of the East coast I can understand the false statistic, but it has been confirmed (on this site even) that Kadri is not asking for a 5-6 year deal plus 5 million deal. He is asking 7 million over 2, the Leafs countering with 5-5.5 over same span. |

That's where my mind is at. He's always had blue and gold stripes on his pads. Except when we had black and red jerseys obviously. |

In Buffalo, it appears very likely that RFA center Cody Hodgson will be signing a "bridge contract" in the next day or so.
Garf...you are quickly becoming more and more like EK. I am willing to bet you have about 16 blogs that say this phrase dating back to somewhere in July.
Just shut up, let it happen, and stop trying to be Nostradamus. |
