Many teams' salary cap is obviously tapped out. Teams like the Sabres have room but probably, thankfully, don't want to add veteran bandaids. It is just a tough time to be a 3rd-4th line FA.

Morrow going to Carolina doesn't make sense for him. take a one year pay cut and go to a contender or head back to Dallas.

Rimer, any truth of Morrow going to MTL on a pro-tryout?

No, No truth to it. I have a solid source in the Canadiens Organization who told me there's no truth to it.

I like seeing these vets sitting there with no work. They get so damn greedy and need to learn to start lowering their expectations.

Fistric is one of my fav stories of the summer, wanted 3 years at 2mil per while the Oilers were offering around 1.5mi. Not sure if we were offering 2 years or the 3, but either way it's a lot better than what he ended up with.

Lots of agents should be getting fired.

Not sure we'll see the greed diminish. Already talks of cap going up are everywhere. Looks like it was another lock-out that was rather useless imo.

Many agents should get fired! Everyone knew the cap was going down. Everyone knew the teams were going to have to make salary cuts. I'm completely dumbfounded by the number of FA that are from the lower part of a lineup that thought they'd "be the exception".

Technically, it would fit the Isles, but I just dont see them fishing for another Fa at this stage in the offseason.

I don't think the greed will ever diminish, but every year there are numerous vets left with very little. Yet if they would've just asked for 1mil 1 year they would've gotten a contract instead of a PTO or nothing at all.
