Garon was not very good in Tampa and definitely not as good as Scrivens. Wish him good luck.

Garon didn't have much support the first time around with the Kings...not saying he'll unseat Scrivens but I'd imagine his numbers would look a bit better with this lineup.

Jason, off topic here, but, I was wondering if you could provide an update on Willie Mitchell. It's been quiet and training camp is around the corner. Thanks.

Can't see him knocking Scrivens out of the back up role. Especially after a year off.

I hope Bernier has a great season. He's one of the most calm goaltenders in net and never seems to get rattled. I think that will help him a lot in Toronto.

Due to the retained salary by Toronto on Scrivens' salary, barring injury, there is zero chance that Garon will take over as backup in place of Scrivens.

Garon can play solid when he's not relied on for a large amount of games ... He was hung out to dry in Tampa when lindback got injured .. He was forced to play a starters roll for far too long under a poor defensive system which made it even worse ... Solid back up when your starter needs a game for a break ... He can perform well if he is rested and only substituting for a few games at a time

I think he's be perfect behind quick considering your not really gonna use your backup when you have that caliber of goaltending anyway and he won't be wanting a trade to be a starter somewhere else

That's a tremendous point. Scrivens is essentially free.
