Miller might be a Sabre to start the season but he won't be one at the end of it. Darcy is not going to let that asset just walk away for nothing like he did with Briere and Drury. The Sabres aren't going to try to re-sign him either. They are moving on with Enroth and hackett and won't pay Miller what he wants anyway. He is a gonner. |

I don't know whether this "rebranding" was voluntary, or the result of litigation, or simply part of a sale of his soul, but whatever brought it to pass, the artist formerly known as Garth straddled his motorcycle, strapped on a helmet, revved the engine, kicked it into gear, sped up the ramp, and somebody named "200 x 85" jumped the freaking shark.

He should have taken what he could get for Miller. Now our chances of properly tanking are less. Same for Vanek. So did Darcy change course and decide to retool instead? |

Ok, so this is supposed to be the NHL blog but yet 3 of the 4 blogs that you have posted are about the Sabres. And the 4th one probably had something to do with the sabres.
Come on now, the Sabres already have a superior blogger that blogs every other day, you need to move on and show us your vast knowledge about all the NHL teams. Lets start with a Nashville or Columbus blog. |

i really hate seeing people give darcy too much credit for anything. lets wait and see how the pominville deal looks in a year or two. having miller and vanek on the team to start the season is just a disaster. erhoff, vanek, and miller are the only reason that the sabres drafted 8th instead of in the top 3. simply moving miller and vanek for the best deals possible should assure that they will pick in the top 3 next year and get a look at a true number one center. paul stastny and cody hodgson are number 2 centers on a good team (assuming hodgson continues to improve his skating and the coaches teach him defensive responsibility). |
