I said M. Staal from the beginning. You all laughed at me and told me he was overrated.

I don't get why everybody thinks M Staal is on the team. This includes the omnipotent Howard.

most top 6s are leaving off both Subban and Letang, which i find ridiculous. it's like we've learned nothing from Turin in 06.

Especially since he can only see from 1 eye.

Paul DiPietro is now slower than before but is still a dangerous powerplay unit's leader with very good offensive skills. He seems to be eternal and is a real legendary player in Switzerland, especially in Zug. "Päuli" DiPietro is the one who had scored the two goals for Switzerland against Canada in Turin 2006 (final score 2-0). Born in Canada, he got naturalized by marriage and became one of the biggest cult players in Swiss hockey.

I don't think he does anything that a guy like Weber, Doughty, or Seabrook can't do.

Plus those guys have the added bonus of knowing where the offensive zone is...

Add guys like Keith and Subban who can do so much offensively that they should be locks for this team and that leaves one spot...

Again, not sure I'd want a one-dimensional player like Staal when a bunch of people can bring that one dimension plus some more...
