Jeff Quirin: Another ticket controversy? (+ Blues Quick Hits) The St. Louis Blues have started selling single game tickets. This season there is a new stipulation. What's the true meaning of it?

Would be interesting to see Tarasenko with Roy and Stewart, or heck, even Backes and Oshie. And you could always flip him back around and put him with Berglund and Pajarrvi. Just gives the Blues even more options.

Just so everyone knows, resident favorite Travis Yost has been attacked across all media platforms of the web by Euge Melnyk and associates, you can't comment on his blogs without someone removing comments, now they're locked, and his twitter and every blog he ever wrote dating back to May 2010 was deleted from hockeybuzz in an attack.

This, shortly following a set of weird phishing attempts trying to get his IP address.

Point being, the idiotic old man has paid some ukranians he works with in a charity to attempt to wipe anything Yost has to say about his shady practices and his leveraging of the Sens to support his failing businesses from the internet.

I'll be posting this in every thread so as many people are aware as possible.

As one of the Blackhawks fan who paid of the "hattrick" package. I see this for what it is...It is profitting from the Hawks recent success. When I called up to order my hattrick pack, I was told that there was only 50 tickets to the December 28 Blackhawks game left. Clearly, it didnt stop Hawks fans from buying those tickets. What blows my mind are the other games I was able to add to mini package, I was able to add Penguins and Canucks games as well. I offered these tickets to my friends who live in St. Louis and who are Blues fans. Unfortunately, the more fair weather of these fans said they couldn't commit. Let's be honest if the Blues were as successful as the Hawks the tables would be turned. With that being said, I have to say I am impressed by this marketing strategy even if the Preds were first.

The Hack fans will continue to come while they are winning. When they were putting up the poor records that allowed them to draft Toews, Kane et al. there were a few small pocket of fans but not the bandwagon groups that travel now. Truthfully a lot of Pred fans don't like the Chicago games because their fans make it an unpleasant atmosphere. They will still come and still make things unpleasant and dump the remaining tix on Stubhub but why not make it harder and more expensive for them. After all they are only Hack fans.

this is what rivalry is about. regardless of the quality of the team if any of calgary, edmonton, montreal or toronto come to town, the tickets are easier to sell and harder to get. the canucks set most of these as "premium" games which means you pay much more. supply and demand. the teams do whatever they can to generate more money which benefits them and the players at the end of the day.

And what kind of unpleasant atmosphere would that be?

I don't see this as a big issue.

I think they are just taking games that are sure to sell out, and holding back single game ticket sales longer in a hope to sell more season tickets/packages. I see no problem at all about that. This is not going to keep Chicago fans from coming to the games.

Right now, you can by a single ticket to the opener or the Chicago games on Stub Hub for basically the same price (and sometimes lower) than buying single game tickets on the Blues website. This goes for Blues fans or visiting fans. Who wants to go to the games? If Blues fans want to go, buy them now.

If less Chicago fans get tickets off of the Blues website, they are just going to get them on Stub Hub or scalpers. This won't change it.

So I can't just take a drive down to BEAUTIFUL St Louis and pay $65 a ticket to sit 5 rows from the glass?

I'm heartbroken. Losers.
