Good read. I'm glad someone else thinks Boucher is a good skater.

Ben Johnson's off ice issues are very troubling.

No, but Boucher and Matteau are. Also you have to remember how these are late picks. The Devils have a much stronger defensive pool.

Didn't even no we had 5 forward prospects.

On a more serious note, what I've read about Kujawinski are mixed reports that he played wing or center. You have him as a center todd, but considering our current center situation, do you think he can play wing? Obviously a lot can change in the 4 or so years he will be developing but it would be very helpful to have another winger in the system.

Got'em. Solid write up. Obviously the forward prospects aren't that impressive but they have some solid players. Im surprised nobody talks about Blake Pietila. Seems to me like a sure fire solid 3rd line player. It may have been tough finding 5 solid forward prospects for the Devils but on D there are about 7 solid prospects some with top pairing upside. Have fun trying to score on Larsson, Merrill, Severson, Santini, Urbom, Gelinas, and of course Schneider.

I think you're right about Pietila. I really liked what I saw from him at this past WJC. Very solid defensively, good in an energy role, and a fairly decent skater to boot.

I think Boucher is an interesting prospect. He has a lightning quick shot release -- an elite, accurate shot. But, I don't think he is a particularly good skater, and I think his success at the NHL level will depend upon whether he is able to put himself in the position and find space to use that shot. As for defensive play, I've seen very little of that. Indeed, I think he is a little bit of a cherry picker, but that problem is fixable with sometime in the AHL.

Yeah he should probably be on this list ahead of Gavrus and Johnson. Seems to have accomplished more in his short career then those two. Like someone else said almost a guaranteed 3rd liner. Not a lot upside but ya know what your getting from him.
