Garth fulfills Ek's criteria for a writer to a T. He tells a story in his blogs and obviously has a passion for writing them. I just don't get this redundant hate for his blogs by some. Some blogs are as dry as the air in Arizona and Garth's are far from that. Sure, he has typos and a mistake here and there but the more you write, the more mistakes will be made.

Ek seems to want people with strong opinions. And I actually agree with him on that. Some bloggers of sports franchises are too afraid to be a little controversial.

I am very proud of the fact that this site employs some if the most interesting and diverse group of writers on the subject of hockey anywhere. We are only as good as our writers and I know it.

Only as good as your weakest writer. Getting rid of Cloutier does wonders for that.

Additional??? We need a writer period, Dee Karl is an embarrassment to this website and that's saying a lot. We boycotted her blog and it finally seems to have been noticed by the higher ups. NYI78 deserves the gig and hopefully he gets it
