What a steal in the draft. Heard that Detroit was really high on Possler and were upset that the Sabres drafted him ahead of them.

Why do I get the feeling that this is the beginning of a storybook run for Team Canada? They don't medal last year for the first time in forever, including getting run out of the building by the Americans. They've been rather public about the soul-searching that they are doing because of it. They show up and get their asses kicked in the development camp by the Americans again. It just screams of the Canadians simply taking it to heart, continuing to improve and then hit their stride right around Christmas time.

If you use your brain a little bit you can figure it out.

Fisrt of all, this opinion sucks. Secondly, it,s the WJC s - who cares?

Never post here again.

- kritter65

Because he voiced his opinion (one that I happen to agree with) he should never post here again? Get real.

Also don't be so close minded/ignorant, almost all canadian hockey fans love the world juniors. In fact if you go to tsn.ca and look at the articles on the Ivan Hlinka tournament (u-18 world juniors) you'll see that all the top comments are about how they wish the u-18 tournament was televised. So to answer your question of who cares- Canadians care.

Nice dig at Toronto there Garth, I hate you ?
I actually think the Clarkson signing will be good for the Leafs he ll be playing with highly skilled players and he brings a lot of toughness and intangibles. Plus with the way he talks about Toronto and the story of how he told his Dad I don't think he's going to let this team down way to much pride. Hopefully he can help deliver that elusive Stanley Cup.

Does Garth get paid for this drivel? I freaking hope not, he gives both journalism and the English language a bad name. The Blues have done incredible things, but now they can't trade for Miller!! Uhh, maybe they don't want to. What an armchair GM.

This blog is much ado do about nothing.

Why does not having Petro signed leave the blues in a dangerous and risky position? Who had the cap space and stomach to offer sheet him? If such team did exist they would of already pulled the trigger.

Berglund is locked up long term... by his one-year deal?

We aren't trading for Miller anywhere near the start of the year. I think Buffalo pulled a Canucks, asking for a lot more than the goalie everyone knows they need to trade is worth. So teams went other ways. Maybe they'll just take what they can get for Miller at the deadline and Blues will be interested. If not, Halak is getting into much better shape than previous offseasons. We have a young enough team to roll the dice on him this year, and if it doesn't work out, pick up Miller in the next offseason for nothing.

I agree that the asking price for Miller is probably too much and that is why he has not been traded yet. My guess is that he leaves next year for nothing. But why do you feel St. Louis would pick him up for nothing? He would have choices.

Vanek probably gets traded at the deadline.

If Halak doesn't get the job done, both he and Elliott are at the end of their contract. Blues could easily want to see what Miller has left.

Miller putting the Blues at or near the top of teams he would want to play for is obvious... he wants a cup, and we are the only team most odd-makers put in the top 5 for cup odds that would be in the market for a goalie.

LOL leafs spending a lot of money on an over priced Clarkson? What are the Blues paying for Bouwmeester? And spending 3.8 Million on Halak who only played 16 games , Ill take the leafs over spending on a goalie named Bernier and a 1.8 Million price tag on Reimer.

Miller is going to play well in contract/Olympic year. He'll keep Sabres within shouting distance of 8th and Darcy will keep him through the deadline.
