The Hemsky trade is stupid. We don't need anymore defence prospects. We're full. Nobody can sit there and tell me that Hemsky isn't worth a 4th line centre and a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Enstrom is a band-aid. Yeah, so is Markov.

But I'd take a healthy Markov over a healthy Enstrom any day. That's the risk.

Eller>Frolick. Sutter can't skate.

Shoulda took the deal... Robbery.

Sorry, should have said I liked the Kane deal. Good chance Barkov plays in The Show this year. Good hockey trade. Potential for a win-win... With more up-side for the Jets.

You'd take 34YO markov over 28YO enstrom?

I think WPG wins that deal but Enstrom's value>Markov's. Eller is the selling point

EDM wins big time on that deal. Hemsky's value's at an all time low. De Haan was a 12th overall pick in 2009. Could have big upside. It does mean one of marincin, gernat, musil, davidson has to be dealt, but that's fine.

No way Yost accepts either of those deals. Barkov is a cheaper option for 3 years and has higher upside. I think if FLA didn't want a C they would have taken Drouin

Don't blame you for jumping on the Myers trade. Travis is one of my favorite bloggers on this site, but this one is nutty, one sided, and ridiculous.

Yeah, I would.

Like I said, it's a risk.

Seen nearly every game since the Jets have been back - Enstrom has missed damn near half of them. When he's in the line-up, he's either just good... Or non-existent.

Probably why Chevy took the leap for Morrisey at the draft. Josh probably won't be ready for 3 years... Probably about the time Enstrom calls it quits... He's too small, he can't take the grind of the NHL.

trying to jump on yost while he is still a. intoxicated, b. suffering from a head wound, c. being blackmailed by you with some sort of awful picture, or d. bribed by you in return for money to allow Melnyk's Cooke investigation to continue... with the hemsky deal was smart. I mean obviously, asking for de Haan OR the 2nd would be dicey. also, remember Florida passing on Druin and Jones to draft a center? they could have had a younger, probably better winger in Druin if they wanted a winger

Honestly I dont see why he would offer this trade. Myers is the stud of this trade, Stafford and Parenteau are almost washes, but PA had the chance to pad points with Tavares and Duchene, Stafford really hasnt had a slick centre to play with. So the Avs get the 2 best players and throw in one decent player and 2 throw ins.

Would love it but it just seems weird without throwing out a centre your way. Swap Tanguay with O'Reilly/Stastny then we might be getting closer

well if you have a big problem with size, you won't like Morrisey. He's about 5'11 180. Not huge for a Dman lol.

The underlying numbers guys love him though. Some guy named Eric Tulsky found a way to estimate the average TOI and quality of competition Dmen play in the CHL.
Nurse played an estimated 25:30 against 2nd toughest competition on the team. Most TOI of draftees.
Jones and Morrisey played an estimated 22:36 each. Morrisey played toughest competition in PA. Jones played 3rd toughest in POR. Morin(PHI) only played an estimated 17:12. Zadorov an estimated 18:30. Pulock an estimated 24:36

ROR for Myers. Done. ROR is safe. Myers has the potential to be a #1D, or the potential to be a 5.5M contract dragging COL down

Good thing this is all in fun because Cloutier, you would make a horrible GM! I would rank you right there with Mike Milbury!!

I think Yost is the one losing this round. I think Clout's asking for too much.

If he's not worth a fourth line centre then how is he worth a top prospect and a 2nd round pick? Doesn't make sense haha

If you can't package Hemsky + to get a roster player now, keep him and hope he'll respond to this being a contract year, combined with wanting to be in top form for Sochi

One can hope. Maybe he'll turn around and suprise everyone this season, making his value increase a bit. But I can also see him gone come trade deadline.
