letting other teams dictate what our players ultimately get paid is as bad as it gets |

Starting to think Hags is pretty vulnerable to one. As someone stated a team can go up to $3.6M and only give up a 2nd rounder. |

yeah, seems almost crazy for a team with space not to do it |

Especially since the Rangers need to make Stepan and McDonagh priorities. |

I don't think either Mac or Stepan will sign an offer sheet unless Slats is really low balling them. Because once you sign that offer sheet, you'll always be that guy that was willing to sell out your team, especially if you sign one with a rival. |

I might be naive but I don't think McDonagh or Stepan gets an offer sheet thrown their way. |

I would actually love some GM to offersheet Stepan for 3.6 million. |

I don't think Sather is that pigheaded to lowball two of the more important pieces to this team's current and future success. |

He's done it before... and especially with their deals shaping how our salary structure will be going forward I can see him being very careful to give them too many $$. I want to see them locked up though. They are the team moving forward. |

Lowball? No. But Slats is known for working RFA contracts pretty tough. Ever wonder why Ranger RFA's have never received an offer sheet? |

Because he has incriminating blackmail on the other 29 GMs around the league? |

Interesting we weren't listed..
@TSNBobMcKenzie. Already talk of offer sheets among teams with space. Pietrangelo, Bogosian, Little, Bailey, Henrique, Hamonic... |

I feel bad for D.Moore but why not go after someone who's been playing lately in the same $ range. And does this mean they'd dump Boyle, and not even give Lindberg a sniff to win a job? |

I think Sather knows how crucial these players, as well as Hagelin, are to this team. I might have my proverbial head in the sand but I think the Rangers won't get bamboozled with an offer sheet to either Stepan or McDonagh. |

No, because the other 29 GM's are scared poopless of what he might do to them should the same occasion arise. |

The Rangers organizational philosophy is that a guy has to dominate one year in the A before making the Rangers. There are exceptions to that rule, but I can't see Linberg being one of them, since he hasn't played on North American ice. |

I think the Rangers are going to be in on a couple of third/fourth line players. Will likely only sign one of them but there are several names the Rangers have been linked to. |

I see Lindberg and Fast being here in 2014-15, not this season. This season, I do expect Miller to be here, at least at some point, and obviously I think Kreider should be here all season long. |
