Both teams are getting what they want/need here
I love what Boston got, and the cap flex is massive to go out and sign a vet FA |

Holy trade batman! Big names for both teams. I think Boston got the slight edge in the trade, but it's VERY slight if it's there at all. |

Fair trade to both sides. I really like this deal for Dallas, especially if Seguin matures. |

I like this trade for Boston!!! They got rid of a piece everyone knew they we're trying to unload and landed a hell of a package. |

The trade from the Dallas perspective hinges entirely on what they thought of the prospects they sent the other way, and if you believe entirely in Seguin.
Personally, his lifestyle issues (partying) are overblown as I don't know any 21 year old that his stuff in order entirely. |

Seguin has the talent to be a franchise player, it is being reported that the Bruins had enough of his off ice issues. I really think this is good for both teams, which is usually how Chiarelli trades look in the end. The cap space flexibility could save the Bruins from a huge problem filling the team out this season.

Do you really want to sign Horton for what he is commanding?
No way in hell would I do that.
The kid is 21, and it seems awfully premature to be sick of his off ice issues already unless there is MUCH more going on then is being reported. |

3 years and he couldn't crack the top two lines as a winger. good riddance and hope he matures for the stars. well played by chia dumping his 2 worst contracts. |

Horton doesn't want to play for the Bruins, his agent said it again today. I would however pay Daniel Alfredsson any amount of money he wanted for a 1 year deal, Chiarelli said he talked to Alfies agent again today. That was not possible a few hours ago.
The first reports are that the management had to have a meeting with him during the Leafs series when he showed up to the rink 3 days in a row wearing the same clothes because he was out partying in Toronto every night. Games 3 and 4 Seguin was terrible.
Edit: As I said before I think the trade was good for both teams, and I hope Seguin becomes a great player. |

you'd think guys would be lining up to play with looch and krejci. I'd take alfie, jagr, Ryder or even iggy. wouldn't that be crazy. |

1 - Alfie
2- Iggy
3 - Ryder
4- jagr
I'd take either 1 to RW the 2nd line |

Glad to see Eriksson out of the West next year. He will do very well with Boston. |

You would live your life VERY dangerously if you were an NHL GM by giving up on 21 year old forwards with his level of talent. |

Stars just got a steal if you ask me. Gonna be fun watching Seguin at the SAP Center next year when Dallas comes to San Jose. |

there was that period near the end of the season when Bergy lost his marbles and Claude trying playing seguin at his natural center position. that experiment lasted less than one period. good luck to the stars. b's couldn't wait on him anymore and his $6m cap hit. |
