Anaheim re-upped Lovejoy for another three seasons. The contract is reportedly worth $3.3 million per season, which I think is a fair price for what he brings to the table.

The total value is 3.3. Cap hit is 1.1.

The funny thing is that Murray "promised" that this team will look radically different next year. He might as well say he's the hardest working gm too. God what an a$$. Lets see if Murray can actually deliver for once

Yeah, me too. It'll be a fun game but mainly to shut up all those idiots on the east coast who think it can't be done.

I think the Devils desperately need to make a move for Ryan I am assuming it would have to include Henrique, which sucks cause he is one of my favs but I would include him in to get a player like Ryan and I don't know what else would need to be thrown in Urbom? and Joesefson? we don't have a first next year and I don't think we should be shopping our first the year after (3 years in a row with now 1st). I would love for Lou to pull the trigger on a deal I wish he didn't sign Zajac to that stupid contract I would rather include him then Henrique.

What do you think about a swap of Fowler and Ryan for Tyler Myers and either Drew Stafford or Tyler Ennis??

That trade would be done tomorrow on the Ducks side. I'd take Henrique for Ryan straight up, I don't know how the money works for NJ though.

Nope, not with Myers new cap hit. Besides, Cam is pretty much untouchable.

It would be tough for me as I said above Henrique has shown already he can score bigtime goals and is clutch he needs to be a bit more consistent but he has also shown he has leadership qualities and people have said that Salvador was given the captain as a stop gap for Henrique to fill into it. But to get a player like Ryan in return you gotta give up quality and we need a scoring winger bad. I know we have the cap room to do it but there is the financial situation the devils owner is goalie through but it didn't stop Lou for adding 4 million in Schneider for our first at the draft.

No way Anaheim gives up Fowler at this point. He showed amazing skill last season, he just seemed snakebit. It feels like this is the year he could explode.

He has delivered pretty well to this point. Getz and Perry locked up long term, no massive contracts for anyone else that will handcuff the team. Kept the team competitive while rebuilding. What more can you ask for?

He inherited a solid core of getzlaf, perry, selanne, ryan and others. All he's done is add bust first round picks with a hope that they click (Souray, Boynton, Whitney, etc). Sometimes- well, all the time- I even wish he was Dean Lombardi. There's a difference between being proactive and getting quality players to help the core and being passive. Murray just turns other teams scraps into "low risk-high reward" players. Too bad the reward hasn't come yet.

Might I add that we have only won one playoff series with him as gm. Okay my rant is over.

I would love to see what Ryan can do with the Duck on a younger line. LOVE Selanne, but if Ryan had some younglegs to work with, we can actually have a real 1-2 punch with Getz and Perry followed by Ryan and Etem

Nope. A deal for Bobby would have to include Schenn or Couts

Ryan for Stastny at 50% cap hit, Elliot/Barrie and a 2nd? Add in Hishon?

Or at the trade deadline

Ryan for O'reilly straight up?

How about stastney for any of our D (minus lindholm and fowler)? Don't you need to dump him at this point anyway?

The Avs are still rebuilding and while your teams D is very good they are too old to really have much value for the Avs.

The Avs need a D and a scoring winger. So Ryan would be a good target for the Avs and Stastny would make sense for Ana if they were able to get him resigned. I would say Barrie or Elliot would help the Ducks get younger on the back line but with Lindholm in the wing as well as the ducks drafted differently than I thought they would have I am not so sure anymore. I do think the 2nd would have good value as it will most likely be decently high.

I was just curious to see thoughts from ANA perspective.

Also he is a FA next year but I wouldn't say we need to dump him, he should be a very strong acquisition for a team at the deadline looking for a top 6 center.
