Morin is our guy now and it all starts over for every player from the first to the last player picked. However I think Pulock might have been my prefered pick, it's frustrating to see the Flyers again choose great size over great skill. However with the pickup of Hagg in the second round, I felt they got that type of skilled player I felt they should have gotten in the first round.

In anycase I do trust the Flyer scouts more than most in the NHL in regards to picking guys with grit and tenacity. I'm sure Morin has ample amounts of both. I'm just glad they were able to get Hagg as well who also may supllement his own physical skills with some puck movement abilities.

Everyone seems to be making a big thing about the Flyers drafting 4 defensemen yesterday. It seems that they all forgot that they drafted 4 last year as well, and traded for a former second rounder in Mark Alt.

What player evaluating skills does Chris Pronger possess that would make you inclined to "take his word for it"?

He's a HHOF defenseman. I'd take his word over yours, but that's not saying much about his word..

Lots of great players have been bad talent evaluators and coaches, and the last five GMs and their director's of amateur scouting have played a total of 4 NHL games. My word doesn't matter at all, but I don't see how Pronger's does either in this scenario.

Who's last five GMs? That doesn't make sense. Prongers word isn't the end all be all but if he likes what he sees in the kid there has to be some credit, being a large mean defensive defenseman himself. Just because there haven't been many great players as well as great scouts, doesn't apply to Pronger.

Either way, the Flyers heavily scout QMJHL teams, and they have great scouts that do so in Simon Nolet and Tood Hearty.

Did everyone see the way the Flyers defense played last year? They need all the help they can get.

The Flyers team defense was horrible. You can have a great 6 defenseman group, but if the forwards don't help, they will have trouble. The system used by the coach for most of the year was a horrible fit to the abilities of his roster. Can't fix a computer with a shovel.
