This is one of the most insane posts I've ever read.

1. Letang to Flyers never gonna happen.

2. Schenn, Cousins and a 2nd rounder is garbage in exchange for a Norris candidate.

3. Substitute Couturier for Schenn and it's still garbage.

4. Keep dreaming.

How about Miller, Myers and a 2nd round pick for Letang and Fleury??

I don't disagree with you....but this is where they are...I would not build the argument that Letand is a Norris candidate...He is viewed as a very one dimensional player who wants a TOn of money. remember the return for Jordan Staal wasn't exactly fair value either,

Why would buffalo want Letang? Id rather trade miller for a prospect and a 1st rounder. It it true buffalo is talking miller to islanders with strome involved?

Blah, that's a pretty one sided deal for the Flyers.

Simmonds is one of the few guys the Pens have a need for. From the Flyers.

And for the record...I would not trade for Letang on a bet...but that is just my opinion. My job is to report what the people who MATTER are talking about...not my opinion on if a trade makes sense or not.

Would you think this rumor is something that is barely going to scratch the surface? Or is there more to it? I just cant see Homer splitting up the brothers this fast. I see the Sharks/Leafs making a realistic shot for Letang.

He was nominated this year for the Norris. Sure, the return for Jordan Staal wasn't great for Pittsburgh, but Sutter is doing a fine job as 3rd line C and Pouliot from last year has yet to be seen. To suggest the Pens want a player to fill a 4th line C role, a 7 D role and a 2nd rounder is a bit out of touch I think.

Edit: 7 D should have read 7 C, because Cousins is significantly down the line for Pittsburgh in the middle.

Brayden Schenn is considered at least a third line checking center, but more like a second, Nick Cousins is ne of the best ten bell prospects the flyers have had in years..,and a second rounder in this draft, the 41st overall will be an NHL player..
